GDMFSOB.
Needs to go. Now.
Needs to go. Now.
When was the last time he gave a coherent answer that was internally consistent, conveyed a rational argument, and was more or less related to the question asked? Haha trick question he has never done that.
Too much focus on the “slow down testing” bit, not nearly enough on the leaning-on-the-CDC-to-loosen-their-guidelines-so-everyone-can-open-back-up-while-being-in-“compliance-with-CDC-Guidelines”.
Well, you look at all the red states where the governors are having an “oh shit” moment about this opening back up la de dah approach. It’s called learning the hard way.
That funny joke at the rally, in tweets, in interviews was not getting any traction, and some derision from many for millions unemployed, struggling financially, hospitaizations, and over 120K dead.
So Trump called all his aides liars. “I don’t kid”
This is straight out of the Authoritarian Playbook:
“If I said it, it automatically is valued and makes sense”
Because every utterance he just said is sense-free
Has the motherfucker been arrested yet? Asking for @tena.
Right.
Folks don’t connect the dots.
Vast majority of Americans do not understand positivity rate.
We need a lot more members of the media to do this and hold his surrogates feet to the fire. If they really had the testicular fortitude, they’d do the same with Trump on a regular basis.
Oh, and about that “We are the best at testing” claim?
No, we’re really not.
.
Direct link to the following moving-data-graphic:
The President then argued that “testing is a double-edged sword” before reiterating that the country is “doing a great job” on it.
Our President, ladies and gentlemen, the man with his Finger On The Button.
I’ll be posting mostly at 3 am now, since sleeping at night is getting harder to do.
The dead can’t learn.
So he doesn’t kid around, eh? Perhaps he is being sarcastic this time. Press secretary McNinny’s head is going to explode live on TV, isn’t it?
He is such a idiot, the only way you can say there is a double-edged sword to testing is if you think knowing how many people are infected is a bad thing.
Well, it’s also what happens when you politicize the fucking CDC of all things.
People actually rely on their guidelines to determine what’s safe or not. That they’ve had their work forcibly re-written to be less stringent than what the experts have determined is appalling.
But a body says “take this seriously” in a way little else can. In my county we got off relatively easy, most people don’t know anyone who died or was even sick, having had about 3,500 known cases out of a population of near a half million. But the next county over got hammered, and friends of mine say when you see people there out and about they’re masked up, which people are lax about here. They know someone who died, and it helps focus their minds.
We have to pin this Administration down on the time period. Trump’s explanation, if you listen to it in full, is what Pence has been telling the Governors to say to explain away the current rise in cases. The issue here is during the month of Feb when the virus was lurking and people worried about an epidemic he purposely appointed Pence to silence the corona virus task force and also told the CDC not to help the states on testing, PPE, or other efforts to prepare.
This is a pretty profound admission, 80,000 deaths worth plus $6 trillion in economic damage.
“I don’t kid, let me make it clear,” Trump said.
Going to see the line put next to a LOT of video clips over the next few months.
