So how to explain Blexit? Is this just another example of ignoring one’s own best interests? There’s nothing Trump has done that has favored virtually anyone, but he’s historically guilty of redlining black people in NYC, and I can’t imagine that’s been lost on these folks, but apparently it has.

This guy has done nothing positive for people of color, so how is it ANYone would participate in such a movement. Makes no sense.

The message is: “Don’t worry, white people who think I’m racist. See, look at all these non white people cheering for me. Now would they be cheering for me if I was really racist?” It’s not about wooing POC as much as they want to convey to white people that he’s not really racist.

I’m wondering if it was also a dog whistle to his base, along the lines of “See, vote for me because I can keep them under control.”

He loves seeing crowds of fans and often goes on for more than an hour at these sorts of events. Yesterday he did 2 hours with Rush and 30 min or so on Tucker. He wore himself out. He is still sick with Covid pneumonia. Pneumonia does not resolve in a day or two. I had walking pneumonia in 2019 and it took weeks to get back to normal.

Those poor whote house staffers and service workers dragooned into filling out the crowd. Very few jobs are worth dying for and this isn’t one of them.
