If Jesus Christ himself were a Democrat, Trump would hit at him.

Most of Trump’s fan base are still pissed off at Jimmy Carter for trying to switch us to the metric system…

He also just generally took a swing right at democracy and said liberalism is dead just look at California. He’s president of California too and he’s in a foreign country dissing part of ours.

Donald Trump isn’t worthy of cleaning Jimmy Carter’s teeth. Trump probably just cannot understand the idea that the Carters are basically decent people who aren’t obsessed with money and himself.

I appreciate what Carter did to move the ball on this discussion. Trump is an illegitimate president and Robert Mueller proved it.

Today, Jesus probably would be a Democrat…and, honestly, it really would be interesting if the Second Coming happened and Jesus took the people you’d expect him to take, based on what the Bible says. That wouldn’t be the Republicans, or the wealthy who think their money makes them pious…it would be the poor kids in camps, the poor struggling to put food on their family’s table, the people who have suffered through racism, misogyny, hatred of LGBT people, and all the rest of the downtrodden. Watching the crazy conservatives see themselves be left behind, judged as not worthy by the God they pretend to worship, would be a huge demonstration of justice served.

Carter won his election without Russian help, Donnie. Put that on your golf tee and drive it.

He’s not the first - I remember W mocking state residents with some line about hot tubs. Even republicans here got angry at that stereotype.

Jesus wouldn’t be a politician. Politicians ought not to play god.

The president did not hesitate to go after the pope so I have no doubt he would go after Jesus if he did not support the Wall
