With the White House becoming a revolving door for staffers over the past two-and-a-half years, President Donald Trump and his remaining aides had to create a system to keep the fleeing staffers from writing embarrassing tell-alls, according to a new CNN report.
When you train a puppy to drop something they aren’t supposed to have by offering a treat instead, they pick up lots of things they shouldn’t have.
In this analogy, both Trump and the staffers are the puppy.
Imagine what these people could tell us - things that his remaining aides are desperately and continuously trying to hide - that are worse than what we see and hear every day.
Title says “Trump had to create a system”, but article text says his aides created the system. We all know how well Trump abides by processes created by his aides to keep him in check.
They might be betting their current gig is preferable to: a conversation with DJT, listening DJT offer empty consolation and hope for healing, and reassignment elsewhere in the Trump archipelago.
The practice of taking hostages is very ancient, and has been used constantly in negotiations with conquered nations, and in cases such as surrenders, armistices and the like, where the two belligerents depended for its proper carrying out on each other’s good faith. The Romans were accustomed to take the sons of tributary princes and educate them at Rome, thus holding a security for the continued loyalty of the conquered nation . . . Hostages - Wikipedia
In general terms, Donald Trump holds your first born child, or in some cases your pet, in confinement until he is assured of your loyalty.
I expect a ton of tell-all books after Trump leaves office…they could easily be written now, but the people around Trump consider themselves loyal Republicans, even if they aren’t loyal to Trump, and they don’t want to damage the party’s chances to continue the chaos after 2020. Yes, that means they don’t care about Americans or America, only their party and bottom line…which is why they fit well in the Trump administration.
The headline says there’s a system. Reading the article, the system escapes me.
People will talk even if it’s through someone else. All will come out and if you think we’re in disbelief now, hang onto your hats!
The GOP’s fear of Trump is a huge burden for them, and so also for us. As soon as they realize he’s an impotent wuss, this mess all crashes and a free-trade, pretend-fiscally-anxious, military interventionist rises from his ashes.
WH employees don’t work for the shitgibbon, but the American people. The shitgibbon making fired staffers signed NDAs is dead on arrival. All it takes is ONE.
The main system to shut up ex-aides is money… if they trash Trump they shut off from jobs with conservative and GOP aligned organizations, that’s what has keep Kelly, Nimrata, McGhan, Spicer and many others in line. And like valiant, honorable general Mattis he will speak… once Trump doesn’t have power to strike back, no surprise from the brave warrior that made a career of making war to peoples without the means to fight back.
These steps remind me of the steps that airlines take to fend off lawsuits in the wake of a crash: start out all nice and sympathetic, offer a little bit of money, then play hardball if the victims’ families don’t go along. So the trump administration is essentially an ongoing major disaster.
Yea, once Trump’s name is dirt and Republicans start pretending that they never religiously followed him, the spilt dirt will be overflowing. Some Republicans will be shocked, simply shocked, at how bad Trump was ethically and professionally.
And when historians get through with him, the name Trump will no longer be a viable brand name.
This is the book which reveals what the corruption, malfeasance and stupidity of the WH looks like to date. The author was all over the place promoting it, me, I’d rather somebody stick needles in my eyes than read it.
