‘I Hope He Doesn’t Retire … But If He Does …’ As the end of the Supreme Court term inches closer, Republicans’ nudging of Justice Samuel Alito toward the exits has become more public. President Trump broached the topic for the first time Wednesday on Fox News. “In theory, it’s two — you just read…
It’s hard to imagine who is the worst person Shitler could nominate for the high court, but whoever the worst person is, he’ll (and it will be a he) get the nomination.
Thee are several people auditioning for the supreme court position. They better audition louder if they want to be a contender.
It’s a little too close to the election I’m afraid, you’ll have to wait for the next President
“But if he does retire, I’m going to suggest that either Lee or Cruz be put on the Supreme Court.”
I wonder if that would prompt Coney Barrett to do a revival tour of her wildly successful “My goal today is to convince you that this court is not comprised of a bunch of partisan hacks” road show.
Hmm. I’m no art critic by my interpretation of the AI fan art seems a bit different from the ever reverent Frank Graham.
What I saw in the illustration was the Christification of Dr. Toad-glans mit der Bone Spurs von Queens resurrecting Jeffery Epstein. He appeared to be saying, “I had you killed but now you’re healed, so let’s pick up some chicks and head to the Island. We’ll make every day become another wonderful secret. Nudge, nudge. Wink wink.”
Let’s see what we’ve got…
-
Dems should filibuster any Supreme Court nominee until after the new Congress is seated
-
If Vought can’t tell us how much has been spent, they clearly don’t need any more money to lose track of
-
F*** Franklin Graham
I think that covers it…
“Fox News reported earlier this month that Alito had been treated for dehydration at a hospital in March following his attendance at a Federalist Society event.“
When you take drugs and party at a rave, it’s important to stay hydrated.
It’s imperative the Dems filibuster any nomination before January. If they win more Senate seats their total votes will overcome Fetterman’s guaranteed ‘yes’ for any right wing terrible nominee.
Aileen Cannon.
We got to take the Senate. We also have to count on Alito being an arrogant prick and not retiring at the end of this term. The former, I’m not so sure of but I think we can do it. The latter? I’m pretty sure we can count on him being an arrogant prick.
Logic doesn’t seem to work in this timeline right now, but if could take a guess I wonder if the Senate Republicans will still fold for his choice? I say this because they too have have started to feel the Trump millstone hanging around their necks.
And another prominent Republican, former Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sidled up to the topic this week.
“Gosh, I’d be honored if President Trump nominated me to replace Justice Alito.”
Rev. Franklin Graham posted on Twitter Thursday, telling his followers that we should all take Trump at his word when he says that he thought that the image was actually showing him as a doctor.
Just as we should take him at his word when he said that he grabs women by the pussy and that he wanted to be a dictator on day one, right?
Good news; and a blowout.
(With apologies to the females among us.)
Gotta be a he–there are three four1 broads on the Court already, and DonOLD Shitler has already nominated one broad.
The odd thing is that females are prominent among those auditioning for the part: Aileen Cannon and Noemi Rao being near the top of that list and seem to be true believers.
“Alberta” Ted Cruz could do a lot more damage as an Associate Justice than he has already done as the junior Senator from Tejas. On the other hand, the possibility of two Democratic Senators from Tejas is delicious, although that presumes the Democratic Party can find another James Tallarico to run.
The filibuster is no longer permitted for judicial nominations2.
–
1 Boney Carrot, Kagan, Jackson, and Sotomayor. If Shitler appoints another woman, there will be a majority of women on the Court. Ain’t happening.
2 If memory serves, Democrats did away with the filibuster for judicial nominees under Obama but left it in place for SCOtUS. Republicans killed it during Shitler’s first term to get Gorsuch through.
My mistake…I thought regular appointments were simple majority, but Supreme Court could still be filibustered. ![]()
I think Grassley answered that for you. Either Cruz or Lee.
See my edits–and I miscounted female associate justices anyway.
“I hope he doesn’t retire,” he told reporters of Alito. “But if he does retire, I’m going to suggest that either Lee or Cruz be put on the Supreme Court.”
Even doddering Assley wants at least one of these a$$holes out of the building he works in.
