Trump Got Few Jewish Votes In 2016 And 2020. He’ll Get Even Fewer In 2024.

They bought a house in a wealthy (very wealthy) South Florida enclave and Ivanka has had nothing to do with her Dad since J6. She didn’t show up for his 2024 campaign announcement at MAL, and Jared is busy making money with his Saudi pals. Their biggest challenge these days is working on not being snubbed by their South Florida neighbors.

I really have a soft spot in my heart for Roger Miller…

We’ve known that Twitter has helped amplify Anti-Semitism for a good long minute, but Musk is now going after the ADL
The person who I think has had a hand in stirring up the hate is Musk. Trump has been a loud mouth bigot since he was a child, but Trump doesn’t have as big a megaphone as Musk.

One of my favorite “words of wisdom” coming from Roger Miller –

Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.

I love Roger Miller’s stuff but it has this really bad habit of getting lodged in my brain on infinite playback.

Same here. When I was a kid my mom would have on the radio the local easy listening station, as the format was known then. They played a mix of Sinatra, Ray Charles along with what was from the Bacharach David songbook. They always managed to thrown in a few of the fun jokey Roger Miller songs. Part of those early musical influences that were outside of the pop rock cannon, Beatles etc. that I was already listening to.

Roger Miller always reminds me of my father, who loved this kind of performer. And even though when some of his music was being played, and the country was as divided as then as now, there were still something fun to take one’s mind off the troubles.
Didn’t intend to highjack the comments, but…

If you get a Roger Miller earworm just say “no thanks Omaha” and it will go away.

I think of three guy musicians that walked a little bit different path than the rest – their own. One we recently lost, Jimmy Buffett – I think he is best described as filling the shoes of a “casual man.” The other two were Roger Miller, and John Prine. Loved them all.

Just be happy I am not posting Do-Wacka-Do – I don’t want that earworm today…

Here’s to Roger Miller, the “average man.”

Bit it’s missing something:

I’m gonna keep posting this pic until it gets at least one step closer to reality.

I too am waiting for the day that Hillary can post: “locked him up, thank Dog Almighty, we locked him up!”

It’s still unsettling to realize that Trump views Putin as the father figure he never had.

This has happened in every group of people for as long as humans have grouped together.

I’m just heartened that the vast majority (70%+) of Jewish Americans recognize that bigotry against anyone often leads to bigotry against them. There are other groups of Americans who don’t realize that such hateful prejudice doesn’t stay limited to only people they dislike. History is littered with horrific examples of that fundamental truth.

Oh, they’ll BOTH be back …

“If he’s president again,” says a former administration official, “Jared needs to protect his turf.”

“If only Ivanka Trump were as witty as Barbie.”

“But Ivanka and Kushner have been been closer to Trump this summer, as the former president has solidified support among Republican voters.”

Besides, with Kristi Noem sniffing around the tRump™ campaign, Ivanka’s been updating her wardrobe!

I don’t think Donnie is looking for a father figure, he’s looking for peer validation which doesn’t have to come from a “father figure”. He wants that Authoritarian Badge of Honor to wear on his lapel.

That’s the best Kathleen Parker article I’ve read in years.
