He appears to have been deeply affected by the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), ripping up his State of the Union speech after he delivered it.
Let’s see…she could have eaten it. Remember earlier in his reign when they let slip that he ate memos, violating the presidential records statutes so that there wouldn’t be any evidence?
And remember earlier in the evening when he refused to shake her hand?
They have such high standards for all Dems, while having no standards for his behavior.
It is regrettable that the U.S. Senate has put us in this position, but we are left with only one course of action: grab your wallet and holdfast. Adopt a miserly stance until the election. We must not allow the Trump Administration to claim our spending as justification for their malfeasance.
Voting is a civic duty and everyone should do so, but, as we have painfully learned, winning the vote does not win the election.
Our dollars are also powerful, perhaps more than our votes. Considering the demographics of voters, one could argue ours are the most powerful dollars in the sense that they constitute a plurality of consumption spending.
Truly, I wish no harm on any person – I have worked hard, and continue to work, to free myself of such resentments. But a recession is a small price to pay for saving the Republic.
This is not hyperbole. Today the Senate will affirm that they cannot defend our country when ideology compels them to act otherwise. It is morally and ethically wrong to spend a dime in support of their cowardice.
I spend thirty seconds reading emissaries from GOP’s outrage machine, and I feel completely reassured that many of my fellow Americans would be quite happy to participate in their own Kristallnacht. Anyone who talks about bipartisanship should be nominated for the Twain humor prize.
