President Trump on Thursday issued an ultimatum to Attorney General Bill Barr over the months-long probe led by U.S. Attorney John Durham, whom Barr tapped last year to investigate the origins of the Russia probe.

“Bill Barr can go down as the greatest attorney general in the history of our country, or he can go down as an average guy,” Trump said, regarding the Durham probe. “We’ll see what happens.”

Or Barr can go down as The Greatest Criminal AG of a Dictator!

AND

As an Above Average Toady in the Trumpian Swamp!

I think total disgrace is a good third option.

Certainly more realistic.

If Bill Barr had any integrity, ethics, or morals, he would resign. BIG DAMNED 'IF!'

Sounds like he is ordering Barr to interfere in the election.

Lord Trump is unwinding before our eyes. Can he last untill the election?

So is Barr getting cold feet? As fire spreads in the plane and people are climbing into their parachutes is he telling Trump that falsely accusing political antagonists and people you resent of crimes, much less prosecuting them, is considered somewhat tacky in civilized countries and can even come back to bite you down the road with legal difficulties of your own?

The real question is: will Durham be willing (or able) to fabricate any evidence that would make it appear as though they had a case against Biden? I guess we’ll find out in a couple of months. Also, how will Trump react if Durham doesn’t play along?

It’s either that, or he’s telling him “Too soon, too soon. This stuff works best the last week of October.”

What a surprise that would be.

Barr is the John Mitchell of our time. May he share the same fate and jail cell.

Barr’s gotta be really careful or Trump won’t pardon him going out the door. If he doesn’t get that pardon he’s gonna be in a world of hurt come January 20.

Could be, but would Trump call that “political correctness”? Trump normally uses that term where most of us would say “ethical behavior” or “simple decency.”

I just feel if he wasn’t already playing along they’d have replaced him already. I will continue to hope he has a scintilla of integrity without actually counting on it.

“No,” Barr said, before doubling down on his denial and adding that he “will be very careful.”

Barr will invite Tucker Carlson for lunch in his office, excuse himself to use the bathroom, and say to Tucker “Whatever you do, don’t read what’s in that envelope in the middle of my desk while I’m gone.”

I’m willing to go with ‘indicted felon’ instead of “total disgrace.”

“non-criminal behavior”
