Iā€™m not on board with the secret ballot proposition. I understand why the anonymity may allow them to vote against Trump. But it comes at the cost of the annihilation of the Republic Party, or close to it.

I can just as easily see them not voting to convict, hiding in the bunch so as not to have to take direct responsibility for giving their mob-ratking a pass, and saving their Republic Party to boot, at least for the short-term. Seems the better choice of their lose-lose situation I think.

So, no secret ballots. thereā€™s too much uncertainty. Besides, about 92% of everything Republics do these days is done in some form of bad faith.

I thought we were supposed to switch over to saws this year, but drills still work. Iā€™ll check the chargerā€¦

Thank you for humoring me. You can never go wrong blaming McConnell. Heā€™s like the devil, the ultimate source of so much evil that you really might as well just blame him for most things and write off your minimal losses when heā€™s not to blame.

Only for the outsourced stuff, which Soros wants to project that innocent people in certain Middle-Eastern countries might have perpetrated.

So easy mistake to make. For the SorosEndorsedā„¢ assassinations, drills are still the tool.

I guess the IG didnā€™t read the Transcript. If he had read the Transcript, he would gave seen that it was A Perfect Call and Perfectly Appropriate and Legal, Not Even A Little Bit Illegal.

We tax payers sent Rick Perry to Ukraine for the inauguration of Zelensky supposedly to help him with his anti-corruption agenda. While there Perry did a deal with the Ukrainians such that his mega donor buddy could undercut a bid for a drilling deal and get it done ā€¦well ā€¦corruptly. And make a bunch of money. Which sends exactly the wrong message to the government of Ukraine.
So it isnā€™t just trump who is corrupt. Like a moth to a flame trump attracts corruption to himself. Now he has apologists all through the republicans and the right wing media. I do not think trump can keep this mountain of shit covered up.

Well said. Nixon couldnā€™t keep what was a third-rate-burglary involving a few people under wraps.

And this has so many players now that Iā€™m really astounded. And keeping in mind that Felix Sater is involved, and heā€™s been a Fed informant for literally decadesā€¦

At the end of this is going to be the whole story of russkie influence deals in America, as perpetrated through willing and corrupt Americans receiving cash in exchange for selling their country out.

Why oh why am I being dragged into this? Now there are black SUVs with tinted windows and SOROS Corp. license plates parked at each end of my streetā€¦:man_facepalming:

Because you are a core member of the SorosFoundationā„¢, even if youā€™ve skipped the last 4 staff meetings (Along with the coffee and bagels provided free of charge, dunno why you did that).

Which is a change from when, exactly? Theyā€™re there to keep us safe.

(Do find it a bit odd that they didnā€™t use the undercover ones with the generic plates, thoughā€¦)

@playitagainrowlf didnā€™t tell me that you guys have free bagels at the meetings. Bummerā€¦

Oh, I suspect Trump is also getting a piece of the action. The whole roiling snake pit full of them are corrupt. Trump increased the depth of the swamp by an order of magnitude.

Rick Perry as Secretary of Energy is simply ridiculous, too. Letā€™s just be kind and say that he is intellectually challenged and not up with really managing the Department of Energy. The dumb shit didnā€™t even realize that the DoE was responsible for fabricating weapons-grade fissionable materials.

Heā€™s not a ginger!!!

Accusing troublesome people of crimes they did not commit is one of the tactics Putin used in his takeover of Russia.

And just think the WH memo of the conversation contained the ā€œleastā€ egregious passages. Yet we are scandalized. Imagine what the IC IG would have thought.

Though, in truth, the WH would NEVER have released as much as a memo to the IC IG. tRump would have fired him within weeks of the request.

Duh. Thatā€™s why you attend. The $100 bills they come wrapped in are just extra (do have to wipe off the excess cream cheese in the bathrooms later, but itā€™s still worth it).

No. The scary thought is that McConnell and other supposedly sane GOP elite are working hard to keep him in office.

As if they had a sense of ethics either.

I get the distinct impression that Dump utterly fails to appreciate the damning nature of the so-called ā€œtranscriptā€ of his perfect call with Zelinsky. I guess if he knew how bad it is, he wouldnā€™t have released it. Still, for anyone who is not a complete idiot, the extortion and the corruption and the trying to get a foreign govā€™t to manufacture dirt about Dumpā€™s political rival are laid out plain as day right there. But Dump has his head so far up his ass that he doesnā€™t even see it. Shocking really. Not entirely unexpected, but still a little shocking.
