Trump Economic Adviser To Launch Another Effort To Discredit Fauci

Stephen Moore, a member of the White House’s task force on reopening the economy, is preparing a new attack against White House COVID-19 task force health expert Dr. Anthony Fauci in the form of a memo titled “Dr. Wrong.”

I honestly thought Trump would have fired him long ago.

Dr. Fauci should resign and go to work for CNN or PBS broadcasting the truth every day.

Fauci just needs to hang tough. Trump can’t fire him, and no one except for Trump’s most dedicated cultists believe Fauci bears any blame. This gambit has already backfired, and doubling down with a doofus like Stephen Moron shows how weak Trump’s hand is.

“Fauci’s been ‘Dr. Doom’ and I don’t have a problem with him being ‘Dr. Doom,’ but I have a problem with him being wrong, wrong, wrong,” Moore told the Daily Beast. “He’s been a detriment to getting the economy reopened, with a lot of his false predictions.”

I dunno . . . seems to me the pandemic has been/is about to be a far greater detriment.

But you do you, Mr. Moore–and watch your Committee to Unleash Prosperity (and the rest of us as well) get kicked right in the CUP as this administration continues to do nothing.

Fire him and he’ll start telling people what he really thinks, so they’ve decided to discredit him first. If it sticks, then they’ll fire him.

I think people that predict we’re all going to die deserve a bit of lambasting also.

  • In a national poll conducted by The New York Times and Siena College in mid-June, 76% of respondents said they trusted Fauci for “accurate information” about the COVID-19 pandemic, compared with 26% who said they trusted Trump.

  • On average, 39% of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the pandemic and 57% disapprove, according to FiveThirtyEight’s tracker of polls gauging support for his handling on the pandemic.

Fauci has worked under 5 REAL PRESIDENTS so I’m tinkling that his credentials trumps tRumps and his brigade of goons who are trying to discredit him. So far it has backfired. It really doesn’t help when you give the WH pool reporters opposition research on Facui and than have the press secretary deny it yet Dan Scavino, Jr., the White House Deputy Chief of Staff tweeting about Facui the night before the PS denies it publicly:

Yea, tRump hires only the best people.

Yeah … this seems like the dumbest political move Donnie could pull— which of course, makes it perfect. This news comes on top of Dan Scavino’s (WH social media director) idiocy:

Rampell charged, he lies, and lies, and lies” about his own positions, often doubling down on clear errors of fact.

Sounds like another stable genius I’ve heard about.

“False predictions?”

Seems to be he’s been spot on.

Moore’s been wrong all along, which is why his nomination to the Federal Reserve Board was yanked. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/stephen-moore-fed-reserve-trump-nominee-829182/ .

A guy with zero credibility as an economist going up against a guy with credentials and a track record up the wazoo. Go figure.

Double down, and if you’re wrong attack in the courts and in the court of public opinion. All learned from that master of bullshit, Roy Cohn. Trouble is, the virus just doesn’t listen, and the data is there for all to see.

Why isn’t Mo Rocca doing some hilarious send up of this painful stupid ass clown .
Moore is like those ignorant rubes that get interviewed in the street and growl in rage that Obama never even tried to stop 9/11.

Slightly O/T, but Biden is up with a fantastically good ad in Texas. @tena, your thoughts?
