President Trump confirmed Wednesday that his administration was not backing down from the aggressive anti-Obamacare stance it’s taking in a blockbuster case in front of the Supreme Court.
The Administration wants to replace Obamacare with DumpsterfireCare, in which the administration runs from calamity to calamity throwing money at supporters and denying it to detractors.
In the middle of a pandemic killing tens of thousands, sickening hundreds of thousands, only the genius would try this.
Biden’s new ad campaign should start or end with this quote:
“We want to terminate health care."
You beat me to it! We’re gonna hear that quote again and again and again. It may even be the money quote of the entire campaign.
ETA: That quote is so horrific that I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple of R’s just throw in the towel on their reelection.

It’s really a shame that this isn’t going to be argued this term…just imagine the political fallout with rising deaths while administration lawyers argue to cut health care. COVID will be a heck of a pre-existing condition for millions of Americans, that’s for sure.
This should be a huge talking point for the Democrats in the fall, if they can keep Trump saying that Obamacare will be cancelled, they can connect that to Medicaid, and Republican efforts to undermine Medicare as well. If anything is going to drive people to the polls, it’s the fear that the health care system won’t help them, and it’s likely that Biden will be talking about strengthening it to take care of all Americans during the campaign.
Right?! But “Don’t underestimate Trump’s political savvy.” Sure, this is all part of a grand strategy from the brilliant mind of a man who recommends curing a deadly disease by shining a light up your ass and drinking bleach.

I’m surprised Trump isn’t getting pushback from more than Barr on this, like McConnell and every R Senator up for reelection. I guess the plan is to assume SCOTUS won’t actually rule on it before the election. They’ll deal with it after the election if they stay in power, and it’s not their problem if they lose. But man, what a gift they’re giving the Democrats going into the election.

In other news, researchers have found that the previously-accepted lower limit for human intelligence is insufficient in the face of recent overwhelming evidence.
