Yet at the time there were a number of women, and more than a few men who defended his actions. “You know Rihanna mouthed off at him in his car”. Unbelievable. At least Ike Turner, who was far more talented and influential was never granted an award from a public official, though he did receive a couple of Grammys, one of which was posthumously.
I will take my ballot to my County Recorder’s office and hand it to a human there. That way no post office hijinks or lost drop boxes. And my early voting registration is current. I was told by text that my ballot will be mailed Oct 5th to me. I vote early due to being disabled presently.

A two for one deal. Spend 10 years of projected revenue right now then spend it again when it comes in as current revenue. Just the latest marker in the GOP’s claim of being the party of fiscal responsibility.

Even though I’m an election judge (pending my assignment, anyway) for my town, I’m considering inviting dear Hubby to vote early. I’ve been warned considerably that the masses WILL be showing up to the polls in November. I will be swamped, I’ve been warned, which is terrific.
Dear Hubby on the other hand is not happy waiting in lines. I might be able to convince him to take a short trip to the Government building here in town (which we could almost walk to, were it not for the active train tracks between us and it) to cast the ballot. We’re opening up in the next day or so for early voting.
For those that can, if you REALLY want to avoid all the nonsense, take advantage of whatever apparatus you have available for early voting in your town. Safer even than a dropbox, because it’s like you’ve cast on Election day. Same ballot, same machines. Same everything.
Vote early, if you can, to avoid the crush.

Yep - read her every morning.
There are statutes and such that would legally prevent such chicanery, but that doesn’t mean they won’t try.
I cannot recall which, if any, statutes that are being honored by this regime. Most everything works its way through the judicial system which takes time. And the courts don’t have a strong means of enforcement.
A Democratic administration will need to have three rails.
One for revising and strengthening constitutional structure so that the vulnerabilities we’re seeing can never be exploited by future administrations.
One for ensuring that thousands of people in the current regime never have government jobs in the future.
One for governing America and moving it forward again.
We need a massive voter turnout to make this happen.
For those with early voting, go now. Because the turnout is supposed to be just that - massive.

How convenient then for Republicans that this affliction appears to be lifting right as Democrats seem poised to wrestle control of the House, and potentially the Senate, in the upcoming midterms.
Republicans will be free to once again insist that Democrats must be the responsible party and only the responsible GOP can bring the out-of-control debt to heel — but only by slashing spending, of course, not raising taxes on the wealthy.
Trump promised voters a very different outcome: As a candidate in 2016, the Republican told voters he had unique expertise in budgetary issues, which would enable him to eliminate the deficit and start paying off the debt. Trump delivered the opposite results.

It was scraps for everyone else back then. W reduced taxes twice that helped create the 40 trillion dollar debt- He lowered taxes during 2 wars that were put on the credit card.
