Trump DOJ Stonewalls Criminal Contempt Inquiry

Will Emil Bove Have To Testify? A lot of weekend news to cover this morning, but I want to continue to keep front and center the contempt of court proceedings in the original Alien Enemies Act case. The Trump DOJ faced a Friday deadline set by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg of D.C. to submit…

The Thailand Cambodia “war” (skirmish? to-do? kerfluffle?) peace agreement has collapsed. Not sure if this was one of the eight he settled or what.

Both Thailand and Cambodia have said that the clashes, which officials said had killed at least one Thai soldier and four Cambodian civilians, have displaced tens of thousands of people.

Six weeks.

The office has told department officials that because Judge Currie’s order did not require a specific measure to be taken, like removing Ms. Halligan, she could stay even though the judge declared her appointment invalid, the people said.

Now you know what it would look like if Eddie Haskell from Leave it to Beaver had a senior position in government.

But their stubbornness only hurts themselves. Judges will continue to throw out cases with Halligan’s name attached to it.

As was predicted here in the Hive -

President Gustavo Petro of Colombia has shared footage on his social media account said to show bodies washed up on a beach on the country’s Caribbean coast.

The two bodies found in the region of La Guajira were floating in the sea, Petro wrote on X while calling for forensic authorities and officials from Venezuela to identify them. He said they may have been the victims of an airstrike at sea, but did not explicitly name the United States in his post.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. This shit is so insanely and so undignified, I can’t believe they thought it was a good idea to do it publicly. No one comes out looking good here.

‘Adm. Frank “Mitch” Bradley told lawmakers in a classified briefing last week that Hegseth ordered everyone killed “because they were on an internal list of narco-terrorists who U.S. intelligence and military officials determined could be lethally targeted.”’

First, there is no such thing as “legally” executing, summarily, people because they’re “narco-terrorists.” Second, even if there were such a thing, military and maritime law explicitly and unequivocally forbid killing survivors of the first strike. Third, these sons of bitches are lying through their teeth. As usual. They didn’t have any g-damn list, and I seriously doubt they’ve actually cobbled a fake list together now.

This whole operation is about murdering random people and then boasting about it and shit-posting on social media in response to those who say, correctly, that was murder, you’re a murderer and you’re celebrating it. They may wave their hands with excuses about a “list” or whatever, but they can’t be bothered to take their own lies seriously (see the “radios” the victims supposedly had) and do a proper cover-up. You can’t shitpost about a cover-up. A real, serious well-executed cover-up is a total buzz kill.

The former court clerk in South Carolina who helped out with the murder trial of attorney Alex Murdaugh pleaded guilty Monday to criminal charges for showing sealed court exhibits to a photographer and lying about it in court.

Former Colleton County Clerk of Court Mary Rebecca “Becky” Hill, 58, was arrested in May on four charges — obstruction of justice and perjury for showing a reporter graphic crime scene photographs that were sealed court exhibits and then lying about it — as well as two counts of misconduct in office for taking bonuses and promoting through her public office a book she wrote on the trial, authorities said.

It’s kind of a shame these are all at the state level. She’s exactly the kind of lying, cheating grifter the GQP is always looking to put in positions of responsibility.

So, it’s not about the drugs….. it’s the oil.

Edit: or drugs coming from Canada.

During his first term, he granted pardons or commutations to almost 90 people for drug-related crimes. Since taking office in January, he has freed 10 more, including pardoning former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández and Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht.

He also commuted the prison sentences of Chicago gang leader Larry Hoover and Baltimore drug kingpin Garnet Gilbert Smith.

And (need we mention it), Fourth: if the “list” existed and all these men or boys were verified in advance to be on that list, then why doesn’t the government know their names?

The only reason they are getting to this point is they hold most of the playing field. That is the only thing they have done that has shown any skill, even if it was by cheating.

Otherwise every single move or statement this administration makes is thin soup at best and total incompetence.
