Hegseth is a fine, fond fool, as Will Shakespeare would say. And he’s a preening drunk.

Stole this somewhere:

The drunken fool denied that the messages happened . . . after the WH had already confirmed them. The incompetent clowns can’t even get their lies straight.

What’s next? We find out they’re holding NSA meetings on Grindr?

If one holds contempt for the court, and expresses such contempt in explicit terms in court filings, is that contempt of court?

Hegseth and company are not in the process of destroying themselves. Trump could shoot someone and remain free. Any talk of repubs destroying themselves is really nonsense, as they are thriving, and this will continue forever.

The through line of the Republican party and Donald Trump is to remove all the social and economic stabilizers the government provides the country, from FEMA to health, to education, to economic predictability.

The number one function of any government for its citizenry is to provide a functional and stable environment for the public.

Destroying itself indeed.

Trump IS the DOJ now. And he is not to be defied. Those in his employ will do exactly as he instructs, and that includes performing whatever actions he commands, regardless of legality or rulings by the Judicial branch. There may be a few rare resignations by those fearing they’re committing a crime. But Trump can merely promise to pardon them if that is a concern. And Trump will just go down the chain of people in his various policy forays until someone does as he dictates.
The Judicial branch will slowly awaken to the fact they are no longer relevant. Trump is King.

There have been some bad ones, but she strikes me as the worst Press Secretary ever.
