but it occurs to me that, if reports that the incumbent Tom Tiffany (MAGA- WI 7th) will run for Governor are correct, maybe this is some early posturing. Hmm.

So I think the Guardian needs a more impactful word than “ineptitude” here. I would suggest a Ralphy type word like maladroitness.

It’s a good marketing move. Basically telling customers that they may not like the current price, but they’re not going to find whatever item they’re looking at any cheaper elsewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the same thing at Target, maybe even Walmart on the store shelf price cards and online stores.
Bezos may also be accepting that his pet Blue Origin rocket project isn’t going to make any headway with government contracts while Musk is large and in charge, steering contracts to SpaceX. Maybe he has more freedom to do things that will make Trump angry.
