Trump Documentary Filmmaker Will Cooperate In Georgia Probe

He thought he was memorializing the dawn of his thousand-year Reich.

…as another Big Mac hits the gaudy wallpaper at the Trump National Golf Course Bedminster.

I thought the pièce de résistance was the bombe surprise.

(Sorry, too many cheesy old Bond movies.)

There are no cheesy old Bond movies.

Diamonds Are Forever is a pretty good approximation, though.

And if they are cheesy, they were cheesy deliberately because some cheesy is good. We cringe to hear Bond say, “My dear girl, there are some things that just aren’t done, such as drinking Dom Perignon '53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s just as bad as listening to the Beatles without earmuffs!” But this was offered as an example of sophistication when the movie came out. Cheesy, but it would be churlish to see it as anything but of the time and naively charming.

The 1967 version of Casino Royale with David Niven and Peter Sellers is the jokey Bond film that makes fun of itself and the genre.

How much do you want to bet that after throwing his hamberder against the wall he immediately turned to a lackey and said, “Bring a new one.” F’ing drama queen. Ms. Hutchinson is a hero in my book.

Jared wanted a filmmaker to document Trump’s victory. Another brilliant take by Mr. Kushner.

I think the easiest charge to prove against TFG would be the wire/mail fraud scheme with his phony PAC. The government needs to lock him up by mid-2023 so we can have an election.

The Bond theme (when I first heard it) got my attention.

If we had a real justice system instead of a tiered organization of moneyed influence.

Holder is probably conservative or they wouldn’t have let him in. Also, why would he want to escape here when he has Boris Johnson to go back to?

We’re watching them all sequentially and the sexism and racism is apalling. Didn’t get better until the Pierce B. years. I know they’re supposed to be dumb fun, but sometimes it’s hard to get over Connery’s abuse of women on and off screen.

One of the great cinematic themes.

True and even in my response I’m acknowledging that today it’s seriously dated.

We’re in the Daniel Craig years now and they are markedly better movies.
