Former President Donald Trump continued to desperately push conspiracy theories on a Monday night Fox News interview, falsely claiming that the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation into the hush money payment Trump made to Stormy Daniels is connected to the Big Lie and is an organized and politically motivated move to keep him out of office.
It’s gettin’ monotonous.
“I didn’t say death and destruction,” Trump said. “I didn’t say, ‘do something bad about it.’ I said, ‘I’m afraid that people will do something.’ Cause people are very angry about it.”
“I didn’t say DON’T do violence, death, and destruction either…”

It would be nice if major media (and not just Lawrence O’Donnell) would connect the Stormy Daniels hush money scheme as one of the key pieces of Trump’s election campaign in 2016, without which he would’ve likely lost to Hillary.
If that hush money scandal hit the news on the heels of Access Hollywood, it would’ve dominated news and social media coverage, deflated the GOP and Jim Comey probably leaves his stupid ass letter in his back pocket. Hillary wins in an EC rout.
That hush money payoff changed the news coverage, the turnout model and the electoral map for Nov 2016. It isn’t some small time crime. It was an essential piece of Trump’s election effort and he broke the law when he had Cohen and Pecker execute that effort for him.
What Trump was saying in this interview is meek for him…He’s explaining and in Trump world that rarely happens…This is the closest he can get to a pivot to expand his appeal BEYOND HIS FERAL BASE
