There’s no point TSF trying to get rescission passed, the damage is already done, so let sleeping dogs lie. He’s gutted the programs and departments he wanted to, no need to do any paperwork, and if Congress does pass it, their fingerprints are all over it and they can’t just point to Elon and blame him.
It’s actually a smart move to not bother.
Though of course it might just be his incredible laziness and incompetence that’s lead to this.

They think there will be something left that’s “orderly” in two years under which they’re going to do something? Interesting to note.
If enough of their cult are dead due to no Rx drugs, no medicaid, no food, housing blown away by tornadoes, etc. it might be difficult to muster any Senate support. But then, I keep underestimating the power of sheer idiocy.

No thanks are needed, the pleasure has all been mine ! And the rewards just astounding. I was pedaling my bicycle past the closed marketplace when I heard a small kitten crying from an overflowing trash heap. I thought a cat had been buried by mistake, instead it was this tiny kitten about a month old inside a potato sack tied in knots and then placed inside a large garbage can. This was deliberate murder… When I untied the bag and saw the tiny kitten peering out at me I knew he would go home with me. His devotion to me is total, he sleeps tight beside me every night and follows my every move. It’s what animal rescue is all about

I have never had a cat, but one has been seen in the neighborhood, an enormous orange cat. He loves to dig up flowers in our front yard. And now he has decided to sit on the front lawn. He appears to be quite comfortable on the lawn as if he owns it. We can’t adopt it, our border collie is skittish and probably would not want another pet in the house. We think he has
PTSD, a very rough upbringing. He had been a stray for who knows how long.

Continue with your kindness by sharing your lawn. Cats have their own world view, this one might be somewhat feral or as you say some kind of sorrow in its life. maybe an owner died or moved suddenly leaving it behind. But cats are survivors, at least as long as they don’t get put in bags and thrown into the garbage. You may be at the start of a long but distant friendship. I always remember my favorite quote from sci-fi author Robert Heinlein : " Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to the idea ",

I have 20 years of RC education. My memory of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth are primarily about loving and helping your neighbors AND strangers. Also the sermon on the mount.
The shit that Johnson and his ilk pitch is the antithesis of this.

Doge is actively destroying the Federal government and Republicans in control in Congress are not stopping them.
The public is beginning to catch on and no sane politician wants to be caught authorizing these cuts while they are new and shocking to the public. Much safer to kick the can down the road.
