They are pretty fucking stupid. I know this living about 30 miles from Mar-a-Lago. They don’t realize that IVF involves the creation of numerous fertilized eggs in a “test tube” but only one survives. It is abortion almost by definition.

I think there’s one more step. Controlling women is just a means to the ultimate end, which is protecting the father’s property rights. Marriage, dowry and inheritance are all about property, and it’s essential to Republican men that the mother doesn’t have the unilateral ability to deny fathers their heirs. It’s why rapists are given parental rights over the children.
