Add another name to the pile of people that will be summarily dismissed at the slightest provocation and then made unemployable by their service to this nincompoop.

The law requires that only qualified goosesteppers can be installed at federal agencies.

It is sort of like if he and another kid were chosen out of a class to pick a basketball team, and he insisted on picking his favorite dollies instead of his classmates. First, they are not qualified. Second, just because you like them isn’t the right standard to apply. And third, they are just going to assure more losing.

Speaking of Trump nominees:

Lawrence J.C. VanDyke openly wept on Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee as he was confronted with a blistering review from the American Bar Association, which found that he was not qualified to serve on the federal courts after having been nominated by President Donald Trump.

The ABA, which can’t officially block nominees but whose recommendations are seen as carrying substantial weight, wrote of VanDyke:

"Mr. VanDyke’s accomplishments are offset by the assessments of interviewees that Mr. VanDyke is arrogant, lazy, an ideologue, and lacking in knowledge of the day-to-day practice including procedural rules. There was a theme that the nominee lacks humility, has an “entitlement” temperament, does not have an open mind, and does not always have a commitment to being candid and truthful."

I don’t think this is going to fly, per the referenced article in Politico. Here’s the poop: https://www.politico.com/news/2019/10/30/grassley-cuccinelli-homeland-security-department-061665

Welp installing folk in various posts as “acting” hires actually does have a down side now doesn’t it donald? Now if you had bothered to go thru normal procedure and had gotten senate confirmation you would not be in this “acting” mess now, would ya?

I would be a very very happy man if some day trump were in a situation like Mr. VanDyke before the whole world. Sitting at trial in the senate trump is confronted with a blistering review of his various misdeeds, crimes, poor decisions and general ineptitude and incompetence and then he cries his heart out.

A guy can dream

Will Bolton defy a subpoena as trump wishes or will he testify? It remains to be seen.

So he was confirmed, right?

So far just an invite , no subpoena

The role is categorized as an “inferior officer,”

If that’s the case, why not have Jarred, or Don Jr. fill the role, they are definitely inferior

VanDyke’s main talent is being a crying while lying drama queen.
