It would be interesting to have a contest to come up with reasons he would leave voluntarily. My guesses would be to stay out of jail and escape with as many millions as he could stash in a foreign bank. In past, it would have been to add women to that mix, but at his age and physical condition, who knows.

Which can refer to a common food eaten by Mediterranean peoples. A mixture of olive oil, cheese, and herbs.
We call our mixture Jajeeke;
24 oz. Lg. curd cottage cheese
16 oz. Cream cheese
1 cup chopped fresh dill
1 cup chopped cilantro
1 cup chopped celery heart
1 cup chopped Hungarian hot pepper
finely chop all herbs and pepper and salt well.
Squeeze out all moisture after a few minutes.
Then mix with softened cr. cheese and cottage cheese.
Use your hand and squeeze it together.
Great on toasted French bread.

Violent Crime goes up with the temperature. All law enforcement knows this fact. What people don’t know is that Climate Change is a threat multiplier and exacerbates this sort of thing. It also leads to more political unrest and violence, (see France), and other problems. Add in food shortages and other disasters and you’ll be looking at our future. People embrace populist leaders who make outlandish promises because they’re desperate for relief so they’ll turn to someone like Trump who promises to close borders and imprison immigrants or flat out kill them before they ever make it to the border. I believe that’s one of the many elements that are sustaining Trump’s popularity.

My first real taste of where we are these days politically dates back to 2007. I was invited to write for David Frum’s brand new New Majority website as the independent voter who opted for Obama. My first piece generated the most engagement by far out of the launch stuff, but for all the wrong reasons.
I was excoriated for voting for that fifth-column Kenyan and against the real American in the race – McCain. There were even commenters defending his inspired choice of Palin as a running mate. 
I responded here and there and things kept devolving.
Ended up writing one more piece and we were in editing for a third when David and myself mutually decided it just wasn’t going to be worth it. The audience he was drawing simply wasn’t going to have it and we figured it would be better to just pull the plug on a less than rightist viewpoint rather than hope to educate anyone on two-party politics and how it did, can and could work.
I’m fairly sure we pulled my second piece before it even ran, but my memory is a bit hazy there. I even got an invitation to Frum’s Georgetown place for an Obama inauguration party but didn’t attend. It would have been fun although I’m fairly sure me and the then wife would’ve been the only Obama voters in the room, but it didn’t work logistically to travel from Dallas to DC at the time.

I hear ya, but this wasn’t news either. It’s fascist demagoguery 101. The only class Trump gets a passing grade in. He’s been using those tactics since 2015. It’s not news.
