Trump & Co Decide Individual Federal Judges Do Have Too Much Power After All

I wonder how they feel about him exercising unconstitutional authority.

Ah, but Mr. Roy doesn’t it make sense that a neutral 3rd party adjudicate the ambitions of every would-be protagonist whose decisions effect so many others. Let’s take the case of someone whose alleged desire and mission would be to see overthrow the current elected government by force. Wouldn’t a 3rd party such as a Judge be the right person to determine whether this course is legal or moral or desirable ? The protagonist in this case is clearly conflicted and so is NOT the right person to solely make such a judgement.

The same could be said for an executive or an advisor who arbitrarily decides to put 1 million+ innocent people to certain death to save 1% of the current appropriated Federal Budget so that it could channeled into a pet project like sending a rocket and a handful of naive humans to Mars, or to build a casino in the Gaza Strip.

I think before we as a Nation undertake such rash ideas, a case in a Court in front of a unconflicted decision-maker seems that a pretty rational way to make such a big decision to me. The protagonist can’t be the sole decider because they are NOT God and this is a democracy.

It’ll be fine, recruitment rockets when the economy slumps. And most of the recruits will have no idea of the controversy, they just want to get the hell out of what God forsaken hell hole they come from for three years, then go to college.

We’re going to see even more christofascist officers, though.

That sounds like his wife’s version of foreplay.

Maybe that explains why the Musk/Trump regime seem to be acting in a way to crash the economy.

He’d likely thank you for the snack.

Trump is a lame duck.

What Rs will run to replace him?

When will they start jockeying?

Will JVDance rise by acclamation?

P.S. I’ve been in the tequila!

(Where is everybody tonight?)

Apt analogy. On Xiiter, (pronounced “shitter”), no one apparently knows that Elon and Mango are fucking morons. It takes working for either one to know that. Just ask Rex Tillerson.

I’m on my back nursing cellulitis in an ankle, with the assistance of the
VA nursing line, and hoping the ankle clears up before some teen-aged incel makes one keystroke and deletes the entire VA. I should have enough antibiotics on hand to knock it down, knock wood, heh.

I’m not a prolific commenter; I’ve mostly lurked for the last decade, though I do pop up randomly. I regularly ‘mine’ the comment stream for news items and memes, but usually don’t have time to say much.

I’ve been in quite a bit more lately, as I’ve drastically cut back on other sources, but probably will never do much more than respond to comments.

The dotard announced yesterday that more than likely JD will not be the GOP nominee in 2028. He qualified it a bit but as usual he said what his diseased brain offered up when the question was asked.

Musk is not autistic. He has never been diagnosed on the spectrum, that anyone can discover. The claim that he is autistic is one that originates with him, when defending himself for being a socially-inept creep.

Being socially-inept does not mean you are autistic. In Elon’s case, it’s because he never learned to socialize with people outside of his circle of associates. By the time he his college, he was already an entitled prick, and that, combined with bad hair, shitty posture and grooming habits, and easily the most punchable face on any ten campuses, meant he never got laid.

He’s been using money as a way to get girls ever since. But he is not autistic. He’s just an asshole.

I am not a Physician so I certainly can’t diagnose Musk’s mental issues but I do know a high-functioning autistic person who WAS clinically diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome. He and Elon share a lot of traits, including severely limited social intelligence, but he is not inherently evil. Musk clearly is. Musk also has little to no self-awareness.

It’s a bad combination BUT it almost guarantees that Musk, unlike Trump, will never be popular with ordinary people.

As people get to know him better, his “stock” as expressed in his public approval, is falling like a rock, as is his brand.

I checked, he is right.

I am waiting for a large, and I mean large recruitment bonus to be offered. For select applicants. I have no doubt that Trump and Hegseth will try to move it to a mercenary force over what we have today.

I am leaning toward Arrendis’ view. I found it interesting that he just found out he was autistic in 2021.

https://www.axios.com/2022/04/15/elon-musk-aspergers-syndrome

“I found it rewarding to spend all night programming computers, just by myself. … But I think that is not normal.”

Really? Guess I was on the spectrum at one time. But I am much better now.

He said he also became “obsessed” with physics and trying to figure out the meaning of life.

Because no one becomes obsessed with a subject and also tries to figure out the meaning of life unless they have a case of Autism.

“My driving philosophy is to expand the scope and scale of consciousness so that we may better understand the nature of the universe.”

A continuing attempt to make us believe he lives a life of Gravitas, his favorite “I am a big thunker” word.

Elon Musk Issues Major Social Security Warning - Newsweek

Yea Right!!
Musk also said in a separate post that “the social security database is not de-duplicated, meaning you can have the same SSN [Social Security number] many times over, which further enables MASSIVE FRAUD!!”

Newsweek has contacted the SSA for comment via email outside of regular working hours.

DOGE Involvement With SSA

Musk’s recent moves on the SSA have been met with considerable criticism, particularly from Democratic lawmakers and Social Security advocacy groups. Several members of Congress, along with SSA beneficiaries and others staged a rally outside the SSA offices in Washington, D.C., following a February 6 report by Semafor outlining that DOGE is “currently preparing to work” with the SSA.

I don’t know anything about the Muskrat neuropsych diagnoses/conditions, and I don’t care to know about them. Knowing the phenotype is sufficient, and as you note he is an asshole (and an asshole of the highest order).

Money is a pretty good lure in the gene pool, but the fish it attracts tend to be rather one-dimensional. Worse, it appears that the fish get smart enough to walk away from the situation with a substantial chunk of the bait.
