Trump Claims His Niece Is ‘Not Allowed’ To Publish Her Unflattering Book About Him

President Donald Trump signaled on Sunday that he will bar Mary Trump, who is the daughter of his eldest brother Fred Trump Jr., from publishing her tell-all book about him and the rest of the family titled “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man.”

How’s his track record on prior restraint?

Excellent when it comes to keeping testimony from Congressional committees.

Not so good when it comes to the publishing world.(Now that Pecker is gone)

My money is on the book being published. But in his own words, “We’ll see.”

(Mary Trump) signed a “very powerful” NDA that “covers everything”…

File this under:
‘Shit that used to work for Donald Trump.’

Most of us would sue if someone told a lie about you.
The POTUS sues if you tell the truth about him.

If the NDA is as powerful and beautiful as Trump claims he has valid cause to sue her after publication. But he can’t stop the actual publication. What a maroon - think he’d learn one or two things after all his various court battles.

I said this earlier but she needs to start a GoFundMe campaign to cover any legal costs and fines that come out of releasing the book. It needs to come out, however it happens.

Well …

Simon & Schuster’s director of publicity, Julia Prosser, declined to comment.

The more he fights the release the more it becomes clear he has so much to hide.

I doubt the publisher and their lawyers will be cowed by Trump’s rants.

IIRC, NDAs cannot be legally enforceable if it is against the public interest or to cover up a crime.

How did stopping Bolton work out for you?

Based on the Stormy Daniels NDA the US Treasury couldn’t afford the penalties. I recall a number like 3 million dollars per violation. Also would you want Trump to be the recipient of all that money?

Imagine what a shitheel family you have to be a member of that you have to sign an NDA.

Bring it on.

Not spending a dime on Bolton, though I am tempted to buy this one. If only the cover photo were different …

Nondisclosure agreements should be null and void for all elected officials and political appointees. The House should pass a law for flagrantly political purposes.

As the curtain rises over the Trump Theater stage for Act IV relatives of the leading man are lining up in the wings with sheaves of paper, typed single-space. This is going to be a long bumpy ride folks.

Isn’t she in violation already by “helping” the NYT publish their article about Trump.
Sue her now jackass.

“If she writes a book”?

Mr President, Sir, that’s not how publishing works.

ETA: Has he called her a “disgruntled former family member” yet?

The concept of having any prior restraint work today is just so 20th century.

One posting on the internet is all that is required.

As they say, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but what happens on the internet stays forever.”

Of course, the profits are gone in that case, so I guess that could have some deterrent effect.
