President Donald Trump railed against Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris during a New Hampshire campaign rally on Friday night, suggesting that the California senator is “not competent” enough to make history as the first female president.
I sure would like to know the areas in which Ivanka has demonstrated any competence. Recipient of cosmetic surgery? Ability to leverage role in maladministration into Chinese patents/trademarks? Remarkable ability to demonstrate tone-deafness?
“They’re all saying, ‘We want Ivanka!’” Trump said. “I don’t blame them.”
Someone as unqualified and undeserving as him.
All I can say is ick, that’s icky and no fucking way.
I’m reminded of the one thing Chris Matthews got right about tRump… and that’s that he thinks the pResidency is like the Romanov family and that he’s treated it up to this point as if that’s his entire working premise. It wouldn’t surprise me if he thinks he can bequeath the pResidency onto his shallow and thoroughly empty-headed daughter.
Intel briefings to congress on election security: Gone. Postal sorting machines: Gone. A fair election is ebbing away right in front of our eyes. Ivanka as president? I think it’s entirely possible. Who will stop it?
This is heinous on every level.
Given the chance, I’ve no doubt that he’ll try.
Let’s work to make sure he doesn’t get the chance!

A Free Press is what will be gone in a tRump second term as well, Constitution be damned as far as he’s concerned. It hasn’t stopped him yet with the aid of the entire GOP. Let’s see how many of them in the press are willing to pretend that’s not going to be his next main objective and are willing to give into the bothside-ism leading up to the election. Its already beginning to happen. Once he co-opts the military (in some ways he already has imo), this grand experiment we call democracy will be all over.

“Follows” is one verb you can use but there are others. He never fails to fail, and if others try to help him he’ll bollix up their work before long because he just can’t shut up or realize there are some things you might not want to say. Disparaging black women is just an addiction, it seems. He can’t stop himself.

No need to comment…it was an honest mistake. But the statement is so outlandish that 1,000 posters following it could each create scathing and unique criticisms of this tripe.
She’ll never be able to show her face again in NYC, whether or not her current face can accurately be described as “hers.”

I’m old enough to remember all that bullshit about what a moderating influence those two were going to be.
The time to salvage any of this I’m afraid has passed. Too many that could have stopped it are being blackmailed or are in his pocket and can benefit from him remaining in power. I hate to sound pessimistic but the multitude and gravity of the things I see happening is jaw dropping. Our nation is being dismantled before our very eyes and there’s not a thing that can be done to stop it.
