President Donald Trump asserted that he has the power to interfere in criminal cases on Friday morning amid the fallout over the Justice Department watering down federal prosecutors’ recommended prison sentence for ex-Trump adviser Roger Stone.

His right to meddle in criminal cases only happens after sentencing, when he can pardon the guilty asshole that did his bidding. (Unless his name is Michael Cohen)

We’re probably not far off from the abomination claiming to have the divine right to do any damn thing he pleases.

One always lies and the other never tells the truth. This is the essential difference between Trump and Barr.

" Additionally, Trump’s claim that he has “so far chosen not to” get involved in a criminal case is a lie: He asked then-FBI Director James Comey to drop the criminal investigation into Michael Flynn in 2017, according to Comey’s memos on their meeting and his sworn testimony to Congress."

Nice. Now, find ways to make declarations of his lying the ledes, because they should be.

Back to the Revolution, and the Founders’ clear determination to prevent a president from being a king.

Democrats have a great opportunity to get a meme on here. Let’s see:

“Trump is not King” nah, no ring to it.

“Trump takes you for a chump.” Rhymes, at least

“The White House is not a palace, and Trump is not a king.” Getting there

I think it is time for the democrats to start meddling in cases. Why is sleazy John Roberts silent? I suppose he has his head in the Trump Organization’s ass and is smelling the flowers? That racist white nationalist conservative crook Alito had not a problem opposing President Obama during the SOTU but I suppose he is being a water boy.

I have not yet done X, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have the legal right to do X.

Solve for X.

I had agreed with the reasoning that Barr said Trump should lay off the tweeting to try and make himself look better and push back on public opinion; and I’m assuming he gave Trump the heads up and explained the reasoning.

BUT I knew Trump couldn’t stay quiet - esp if the focus was on anyone else.

You know, I wonder, down the road, how many of these bozos will be pretending that they were either “bewitched” or “deceived” when that photo was taken as they try to distance themselves.

Or perhaps they’ll try to go the photoshopped/deepfake route, claiming they were never there in the first place…

The day is coming when the mascara tracks will be flooding downward.

Love it, but suggest “No matter how much gold spray paint he uses, the White House is not a palace, and Trump is not a king.”
