President Trump personally intervened to cancel Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s scheduled stop in Kyiv in November at the last minute, just as new evidence about Rudy Giuliani and Trump’s role in the pressure scheme was boiling out into the open, the Daily Beast reported Friday.

OT. Seems like Speaker Pelosi sent Trump an invitation for the state of the Union address. I am on two minds about this, having the Senate trial before then should be considered criminal political malpractice. However, I am not sure if a impeached president should be even invited, but on the other hand there is plenty of opportunity for him going off the rails.
Trump likes to boast that he is the republican President with the largest majority ever elected. He can now brag that he is the only Republican President ever impeached. (Andrew Johnson, although in the ticket with Lincoln he was a democrat).
The better question: why have so many agreed to serve someone who thinks this?
Bill Clinton gave his 1999 SOTU after being impeached by the House, but before the Senate trial vote. He obviously was invited.
