There’s not enough bleach to make the Proud Boys go away.

America clearly understood your dog whistle, Fatso…

I’m not sure how the campaign can clean up, “Stand Back and Stand By.”

Trump’s call to arms for his looniest supporters (with guns).

… should be put on suicide watch.

Funny how it’s always a spokesperson “cleaning up” his remarks, and never the moron himself. Operation “He didn’t say what he just said” can never be completely successful.

You need hazard pay to do Trump cleanup.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is THE Republican Party. The party of mendacity.

His people make lame attempts to ‘clean up’ what spews out of his gaping maw… but the blowhard never tries, because he truly believes what he says.

There is no way they’re getting that shit back into the bull…

Well Hogan, good luck with that.

Injecting bleach might help?
Trump will explain.

When the guy you send to defend you about being a racist has a name that sounds like a novice writer’s idea of a WASP from Connecticut.

It was only a matter of time.

I’m sure the polling on that comment is more than a disaster.

Perhaps the boss can actually condemn those groups instead of telling them to “stand by”. Evidently having alternative facts is no longer adequate. Now they need alternative definitions as well.

Oh please. We have seen this game before. Trump says something reprehensible, his team tries to fix it, and then Trump blows it up by doubling down. Just wait a day or two, Trump will double down on his comments.

Nothing nauseates me more than Trump’s more dainty followers rushing in after a plainly worded call to racism to try and “explain” how it wasn’t really racist. Are they trying to convince themselves that they aren’t supporting a stone bigot, or are they trying to convince us? If Trump lost all of his supporters who are not actually bigoted today his popularity would not drop a whole percentage point.

They actually think they can “clean up” that shit show he put on last night? The GOP needs to go away, permanently.

Think it will take someone used to cleaning up after elephants in a circus.

Gidley said it was a boon that Trump had recently announced his intentions to label both the Ku Klux Klan and antifa as terrorist organizations…

Journos are idiots. Ask Gidley where antifa’s headquarters are. Name their directors. Name and prove their funders. Where do they deposit their operating funds? What are their rules, their stated principles? Make the administration prove they’re an organization as the term implies.

I would credit the person who pointed this out, but I can no longer remember where I read it. Here’s the gist: the problem with the “stand up and stand by” comment is that there is no way it was off the cuff. It was planned. It’s way too polished to have been unplanned.
I don’t know if this Tweet is accurate or not, but if debate prep tapes get released and there is discussion of this sort of thing, it will be really difficult to clean up. Not that it matters. People who are white supremacists may go underground, but they won’t change.

I am authorized to reveal that @ProjectLincoln has received secret tapes of Trump debate prep and we will be releasing them in the morning.
