It is literally the only thing he’s competent at. Note I’m not saying he has high-level knowledge of how to do this - because he doesn’t know anything about anything - but rather that he’s possessed of a base, animal-like, yet very sharp instinct for grifting.

Naw, nothing to do with bar codes. If you take off any sales sticker, and you’ve got a line back to the shipper, you can repurpose any book as new as many times as you like.

That was the genius of his setup. The folks would buy the stock, send it back to the printers, who would re-mail it to the stores.

Does anyone else thinks these are actually recyclable like the shop claims? Without listing a plastic code I flat out don’t believe them. I’ve never heard of recyclable straws. I’ve heard of reusable silicon and metal straws. Then disposable paper and plastic straws. Looking on Amazon pulls up none of these mythical recyclable plastic straws either. This all feels like typical dotard BS. Some intern probably wrote this then the media ran with it never questioning this.

Two observations:

  1. “Lucrative potential income sources” is a nice euphemism for “marks.”
  2. He described his crowd as “patriots” for echoing his “send her back” chants. Patriots are willing to sacrifice things like their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, as Jefferson wrote. I think that Trump’s targets certainly have shown their willingness to sacrifice. Trump supporters won’t even sacrifice straws.

Well at least at Borders someone had to remove all those BINC stickers, which was our inventory system’s name. They were easy to remove, but some the sales stickers weren’t.

That’s the problem with plastic straws, they’re too thin for the machinery which means they jam it up.
Now when dead sea life washes ashore, they’ll cut them open and find all those red Trump straws.
