It is absolutely shocking to me that 42% of the country thinks it acceptable for the President of the United States to call the FBI “human Scum”. It is the action of a three year old having a tantrum. Vote!!!
I disagree - for one, that won’t actually start until the day after inauguration and some are already suspicious about what might happen, should he lose the election, between the day after the election and inauguration day.
A perfect example of what’s in store looks like the story here in WI of the SC judge who recused himself from the voter registration case because he was up for election. Now that he’s lost, he wants back on the case and will vote for those 300,000 or so registrations to be stricken.
That’s a microcosm of what’s in store.
The Wounded Be Best Beast must have gotten wind of Michael Cohen coming home.
Seems to me that Mittens has positioned himself the best in that he can always do the “I tried” things and walk back into vulture capitalism. Rubio, OTOH, is pretty screwed. He has nothing going for him, he never did.
People smarter and more informed than Trump assured him that Democrats will always, ALWAYS cut a deal so that, if he leaves office (maybe after being defeated at the polls), he will be immune from all prosecution for his crimes. They did it with Agnew, and Nixon. They let the Bushes and their henchmen go (“We must look forward, not back!”) Why shouldn’t Trump get off, too?
Certainly Dems and the media could have done different things to constrain Chump’s attempt to rewrite and erase history. I know plenty of ways to blame them. Comparing the crimes that Chump committed to the actual facts, findings, and guilty please…it is all pretty feeble. He has committed mountains of crimes, he and his people have done heinous and treasonous attempted death blows to our country…and after years of all this wrangling it somehow fades to the background as far as Dems and Media public narrative are concerned.
Of course, even the paltry amounts of justice and guilty findings would have sunk ANY previous president…the combination of Felonious Chump, traitorous and criminal Senate, and rabid stoopidity of the RW voter have given him immunity somehow. Now his final dash to November will be unleashing Bill Barr and Justice Department on his enemies and the Dem Governors who did what they could to protect against a pandemic…Chump will turn it into a legal witch hunt of vilification and blame-swapping.
The Dem and Media messaging going forward had better improve. I don’t think anybody is fooled, I don’t think anything Chump does will sway voters his way. But we need governorships and Senate seats and Dems and Media need to make “Republican” toxic and quit fixating on Chump.
Okay. I wholly own the idea that what I am about to share is petty. But the peanut gallery needs to earn its keep somehow.
Have you noticed how Trump seems to be morphing into a cartoon movie character with each passing day?
I rest my case.
Yes, the FBI failed us. They interfered in an election by reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton 10 days prior to the election. They should be investigated.
It is hard to beat a couple dozen wackos with their AR15s protesting the lock down. The Press has about as much credibility as Trump. I find myself cursing the Press as much as Trump. I am disgusted with them all.
Every adult has probably had the experience of a friend who couldn’t get over a setback whether it was getting dumped from a relationship, getting fired from a job or not getting a promotion they deserved. These experiences often start with friends and families believing their loved one was mistreated but over time suspicions grow and paranoia becomes more obvious and eventually we find it difficult to have a person like that in our lives. Eventually we may even grow afraid of that person. If they still have some basic level of composure or even charm, they move through the same pattern with other people. If they have money or power that may sustain them for awhile as actual friends are replaced by sycophants. For some sick and paranoid people, the house of cards never collapses; for others it comes crashing down in one grand swoop. Either way I fear for this country. Too many craven people have attached themselves to this particular madman. Too many people who know better have kept silent because they were taken in by Trump and enabled him in ways that make them feel ashamed of their own cowardice. And each day, as more decent people are fired or smeared, the moral character of this administration is lowered to depths not previously imaginable.
Trump Calls FBI ‘Human Scum’ For Investigating Russia Ties To His Campaign
Pathetic. In the middle of a pandemic he still nurses past grievances.
‘Human scum?’
You give him too much credit.
He’s just pond scum casting envious aspersions.
One definition of a seriously compromised and incompetent President: A President who calls the FBI, “Human scum.”
If Trump thought that 5,000,000 angry voices with torches and pitchforks were to descend upon him … he would be overcome with fright incontinence… and would flee … just as fast as his corpulent waddling ass could carry him.
While it has risks … Trump must be pushed relentlessly, savagely 24/7 into a state of total fear & breakdown …
Hard to imagine any other president saying the stupid repetitive shit he does, granted we saw a preview of if not all of it in his primary, and then add on top all these childish insults, especially with no evidence to the contrary, just claims that all the accusations are bullshit. But to have it coming from the actual president of 3 plus years.
hmmmmmmmmmmm…‘human scum’ for daring to DO THEIR JOBS. Gosh Donnie, you should try it sometime.
Rump is going to lose the election. He’s currently down to just his base (feral trumpoers), Biden isn’t facing anywhere near the amount of visceral hatred that SoS Clinton faced, Americans are still dying from COVID-19 and the economy is at the beginning of the end. What happened in WI is germaine to them.
Neither Pelosi nor Schumer are fighters, nor was Trump’s predecessor. They don’t know how to fight and they don’t want to fight. They were put in their respective positions for precisely that reason, by people who don’t want or need them to fight, but rather to cut deals that suit them. There are lots of people who don’t see this and will defend them, because they’re Dems and it’s all partisan to them. They are stupid, and will stay stupid things like how you have to pick a side and blindly support it, or that no one’s perfect. But, anyone who really cares about good policy and governance has to see things for how they really are and take the blinders off. Unlike the other side, we are not a cult that blindly worships its leaders. They work for us, not the other way around.
All of that might be true-- but they are very different and separate things. Clever of you to intertwine them to lift your personal narrative.
You, just as I do-- have the right to contact @josh and @joeragazzo with regard to your perception of how content is determined. Though it might carry a bit more weight if you were actually a financial supporter of the site. If you actually had a dog in the hunt here.
As far as Biden’s basement campaign? Are you signed up with Biden 2020? Receiving the multiple emails daily? The SMS campaign messages? Tracking the campaign’s YouTube offerings?
If you did? You’d feel more connected to the Democratic nominee for POTUS’s efforts to make his voice heard in the time of a pandemic. Whose statements BTW? Have been presidential.
Trump’s campaign has always been in full-swing. To use it as a cudgel to beat both TPM and Biden 2020-- is as self-serving as any TPM clickbait headline.
You have a point about the wall-to-wall coverage here regarding the Trump administration. As many here have also voiced opinions. And I agree. But baying at TPM in a tone that belittles the efforts that Biden 2020 are making-- rings less-than true.
