That’s because, if he has his way, there won’t be a life after being 'preznit. He intends to be there for the rest of this life and above any prosecution. It’s why he won’t resign. Too dangerous.

His Orange Pustule Lordship must ABSOLUTELY HATE every day he wakes up knowing what is coming for him eventually- tax crimes and money laundering charges- state abd fed.
House is back in session. Maybe they can steal a little of the lunatic’s thunder. Maybe they could hold press conferences at the same time every day and tell a little bit of truth and not all the loaded fiction that’s being put out there.
I know that TPM just follows the news and rewrites what it reads on line, but you would think that a little more imagination would be appropriate. Maybe a few inches each morning about Biden’s campaign and maybe a few more inches about really interesting races running in the states. I would love to hear about the Senate race in Arizona or maybe Kansas. What we get from Josh is all Trump all the time. I am tired of it. Again he is reflecting what is going on in the media herd. Maybe it is time to become a bit of a maverick.

There’s a reason it’s taking so long for this “investigation” to conclude. It’s because there’s precious little to find, beyond the inevitable human error and poor judgement inherent in any complex investigation. They’re just stretching it out so it hits with maximal political effect. It’s not going anywhere in the legal system. No grand jury will indict, no judge will allow, no jury will convict. It’s a whole lot of noise about nothing, mirroring Trump’s entire ridiculous and pointless life. His legacy will self-erase.
Wonder how many GOP senators have recently given their personal career strategic plan a thorough review?
Yes, an excessive number of them have gotten the non-removable prominent “I LOVE TRUMP” face tattoos… and they are committed to going down with the ship. However… have to figure that a few are pondering how they might survive the fires of the Trump-Hindenburg & emerge from the ashes.
But honestly, it is difficult to imagine who … Thune? weasel Rubio? Romney is the only one that seems obvious…
… suspect that most will just jump to some safe private enterprise that they have cultivated for years…
I don’t know about that - he’s never been confronted with this legal system. He’s always been able to buy his way out of it. He knows he’s got all of the protection he needs, as long as he can stay in office. It isn’t going to be a matter of what happens on Election day - he’s going to find a way not to leave and face the music. His minions will make sure he’s safe, even if it means drastic measures, but he’s not goin’ to jail if he can help it.

I agree, it turns my stomach and we need to focus on other things.
Unless he can pull off the dictator for life thing, he’s going to be looking over his shoulder every day of his miserable existence after he’s booted out of office.
IMO, he has no idea what’s in store for him after this past 4 year debacle is over because his mind is too destroyed at this point. He barely knows what he’s doing any moment of the day. His grifting, crime ridden family, OTOH, must be very nervous about their lives starting 11/5/20.
Remember that only a third of them are up for election this time around. The rest of them are counting on the short memories of their constituents. And then there’s always retiring to ‘spend more time with family’ who would really rather not.
The establishment media does like to rubberneck. Hey, it sells, it’s cheap, everybody wins!
Starts with Trump and Barr after all they are in charge.
Until we stop reading, they’ll keep reporting. It’s difficult to make someone understand when their paycheck depends upon not understanding.
