In my darker hours – which, sadly, I’ve had too many of in recent days – I believe that Elon and his tech-bro cohort (to which they grudgingly acknowledge tcf since he helped lead them to political power) – are such nihilists that they don’t care if 7.99 billion of us died in some horrible way, so they could have the earth all to themselves.
For those who have seen the endings of “Dr. Strangelove” (where the War Room folks talk about living underground until the radiation goes away, with multiple women for each man, of course) or “Don’t Look Up” (a Musk-like mogul leads a spaceship to a human life-friendly planet after ours is destroyed by an asteroid), this doesn’t seem farfetched at all.
Then I remind myself that, regardless of what happens, we are – I am – only here for a short time, and the goal is to be kind to one another while I can. Yes, the moguls piss me off, but there’s nothing I can do.

It’s already completely failed. A meaningless report not being issued is irrelevant compared to the utter failure to hold TSF responsible for anything, ever. The Subprime Court has already been corrupted into the Trump defense court, they’ll just faff about and kick the can so the reports never see the light of day.
