Trump, Bukele Condemn Abrego Garcia to Prison On Live TV

holidays-happyholidays

Let me get this straight:

  • we are sending BIG BUCKS to El Salvador to house the prisoners
  • Bukele said he won’t send Abrego Garcia back
  • today the president told Bukele to build even more prisons

At the same time, Rump while cosplaying a tough guy does not insist Bukele send Garcia back or the money train stops.

While we all know Rump does not want Garcia back but is willing to look weak hiding behind Bukele’s skirt. Not a good look rump!

Deciding whether or not we’re in a constitutional crisis is sort of like Waiting for Godot.

Hold the lawyers in contempt and order they be sent to El Salvador.

They’re working hard to make it so that the best option people have if the feds show up at their door is to fight to the death.

Why bother with a third term when he can just pretend no time is passing during the current term and, so, it never ends?

It defies a Supreme Court ruling, flouts a lower court ruling, and undermines the basic principle that the government must provide due process before depriving someone of their freedom. Yet the man wrongly deported to a Salvadoran prison will remain there indefinitely, President Donald Trump and El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele said during a Monday Oval Office meeting.
… … … … … …
If ever there was a US president who deserved to be impeached and removed from office it is trump. He commits law breaking in public. If the SCOTUS had a spine they’d send marshalls to arrest donnie. But spine is missing in the courts, in Congress and of course the executive. I am deeply ashamed of my country’s government.

Add Rubio to that list of contempt.

Note how Trump decides whose sovereignty to respect. Ukraine? Canada? Greenland? Panama? Gaza? No, no, no, no and no. El Salvador? Okey dokey.

Also, Bukele’s grandparents were Palestinian immigrants? Oh what a tangled web this whole immigration ideology can be. Edited to clarify, I personally believe both Israelis and Palestinians have a right to exist on their historical lands. Others very much differ.

Well they need a prison in a foreign country to make a US citizen disappear. Our for-profit incarceration companies are located here, and are subject to US court decisions.

If you’re waiting for Roberts to save you, fuck off.

It’s not happening. The court will be ignored.

Meanwhile the House could end this shit today. But they’re feckless cowards.

We have only ourselves. Question is, are we willing to fight?

Because I told you all a year ago that history demands this evil be excised. If not, get used to living in Fat Boy’s reign of terror.

Not sure how many immigrants the US has sent to El Salvador, but it has been reported that the US is paying El Salvador $6m. According to what I heard on NPR a little while ago we’ve sent around 250 prisoners to El Salvador, that’s $24,000 per prison to date.
What I don’t know is did Trump pay up front? How many prisoners will El Salvador take before it becomes cost negative for them?
Also which agency’s budget is this money coming from?

Darr, this is not our government. That has been in a hostage scenario since January. What is in place is a criminal regime led by a delusional mad man. I have given up trying to say anything other than criminal. The problem is the authorities are also now held hostage as well.

How it plays out, I have not a clue at this point. But what is amazing is how many irons in the fire they have developed without the needed support structure to institutionalize it. At the rate they are going, they will either end up in the garbage chute or swell up like blueberry. We need to persevere in the meantime.

Funny, just this weekend Bill Maher told us what a great guy Trump was.

The way you know the constitutional crisis is here is that when someone suggests FOIA you just laugh. Like they’re going to comply with a FOIA request.

Except the Fascist Bloc’s majority opinion opened the path to precisely what Stephen Miller is doing here. They took out the language requiring the government to return Mr. Abrego Garcia, limiting instead to just “facilitate” his return. That was no mistake.

Trump can be charming in person. The problem is so can any psychopath. They usually are. Trump cares about three things - his personal safety, his personal wealth and his personal power. He has no long term thinking. People like Steve Miller have learned to use him for their own facist agenda.

They are not the ones doing the contempt. The ones who are in contempt are Kristi Noem, Pam Bondi, Marco Rubio, etc.

Miller has been doing it for a long time now. And Musk seems to be losing ground, so he is on again.
