We have readjusted our expectations down so low that any other person, Democrat or Republican, who continued to spout these kind of delusional claims would be immediately decried as unfit and in need of medical treatment, but when the President does it half of the country joins him in his delusion. The vast majority of Trumpers will tell you, and they mean it, that Trump has never told a single lie.
We are a very sick society - the only question left is whether the treatment is going to work or if the body politic is going to be completely overwhelmed by what is obviously some kind of social infection.

I just don’t understand these headlines. He lied again. A baseless claim need not be deliberately untrue. An intentional false statement, which is all Trump is about, is a lie. Someone needs to tell the editors at TPM that a real news organization tells the whole truth. The whole truth is that Trump lied about voters being bused in. Trump lies again. There’s the headline. Problem is it’s not news.

But, maybe you can help me get a handle on why people here focus on them and their allegiance to Trump, or their slavishness to Trump.
Maybe it’s the Drill Sergeant Approach:
"See them people over there??? They DOIN’ IT!!! They are motivated! They are committed! THEY GOT WHAT IT TAKES!!!"
Sometimes it works with Trainees. Talk about people more committed (and the Trumpers are certainly committed) and hope it rubs off on the trainee.
I think they’re testing us to see how observant we are. There’s a pool going on as I write.

Media has always focused on PP because at heart he’s an entertainer, what he says is quotable albeit originating from under his tinfoil hat madness. I think it’s that simple.
In contrast, we have earnest, smart and serious pols but they don’t entertain like he does at a MAGGOT rally and don’t turn red and have spittle coming out of their mouths because they’re enraged and don’t wave papers around. Yes, we are that jaded as a viewing public.

True enough, but what the DumbFucks don’t realize is that we’re doing it right under their noses. Case in point: me. Moved to NH, established residence, bought property, registered to vote, and voted straight D’s every single fucking election. And it’s worked largely. The old Republican stranglehold on NH politics has been rendered largely impotent - save for the current legacy idiot governor.
