All of these ties to shady oligarchs, henchmen, associates, just makes me think of this.

Corrupt Mob Boss and His Henchmen. And the GOP always knew this.

So Kolomoisky needs a favor from Trump and the plan is for him to pay some of Trump’s legal fees. Is that it?

I expect he will get a lot more than just legal fees.

Given how Kolomoisky treated Rudy and his henchmen, I sort of wonder if this move is against Trump? Assuming Trump sees him as an enemy, having one of Trump’s lawyers in his pocket could be a pretty valuable asset if things ever escalate between them.

Notable that Kasowitz has assessed that there is no conflict of interest between his new mob-boss, Russian-backed Ukrainian oligarch and his other client, the President of the United States. Though I guess it is possible that both clients have waived any conflict of interest.

If Kasowitz appears for Kolomoisky in the DOJ case, prosecutors should move to DQ him because that conflict is probably not waivable under Bill Barr’s unitary theory of the executive branch.

Do they have a JDA with trump? In some ways this is humorous, because you have to come from a thoroughly corrupt country to think this will help your case. (Or perhaps a particular kind of corrupt country.)

Kasowitz is defending Kolomoisky in a civil case brought in Delaware by a Ukrainian bank formerly owned by Kolomoisky, which accused him of embezzling $6 billion from the lender and siphoning the cash into the U.S.

Gee. He probably would have had to launder that money somehow. Who could have possibly helped with that? No one we’ve ever heard of, I’m sure.

Having sought to join so much of Trump world on what they must see as the Ukrainian gravy train, hopefully Kasowitz will get, not only an indictment, but a superceding one as well.

So let me get this straight… Trump and the Russian mafia share the same counsel, and this isn’t news, other than TPM? Wtf? What am I missing?
