President Donald Trump on Tuesday continued to attack members of his own party, calling Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-SD) a “RINO” after the senator suggested that any effort by a fledgling group of Trump loyalists to object to Electoral College votes reaffirming the win of President-elect Joe Biden during a joint session next month will be immediately shot down.
I have the feeling that with all the insults, damage to the party and worse yet, Trumps attempt to hijack the the GOP as his family platform; The ones clamoring for Trump and his family be thrown in jail for the rest of their lives will be the republicans, they need to get rid of those assholes.
So, Donnie wants a carry out his vendetta with Reactionary leadership.
I say, “Go for it.”
I’m sure that Warnock and Ossoff won’t mind being another two senators that he helps to elect.
I doubt, though, that they’re gonna feel, either, indebted or beholden to him for it.
I just came back from voting…I got my wish of voting against that harpy Loeffler twice and against uber-crook Purdue three times. I changed my registration to republican just for that.
Trump does not have a Party and the Republicans are too fucking stupid to understand that.
They are followers of Trump or they are nothing in his eyes.
The Pentagon is concerned Trump is going to issue coup orders, not that they will follow them, but because it will be the first time in 240 years that any President tried such a stunt. The next time we might not be so lucky.
The best thing that could come from this episode in American history is the splintering and reorganization of the Republican party.
I have hearkened back to the Bull Moose party in previous discussions like this. It didn’t last long, but did serve to splinter the party for at least an election cycle. It very well could happen in the 2024 cycle too.
