President Donald Trump swung at White House COVID-19 expert Dr. Anthony Fauci on Tuesday morning after the health official slammed the Trump campaign for misleadingly using his words in an ad without permission and out of context.
Perfect contrast between Dems and GOPers. Trump has a campaign to win, so screw context. Run the ad and eff anyone that doesn’t like it. Meanwhile Dems adhere to Hoyle.
All the morons who thought it was insightful to marvel at Trump’s “political instincts” should be kicking themselves in the shins right now. There’s probably not a more trusted figure working in government right now than Fauci, and we’re three weeks from an election Trump is losing because of a botched-to-nonexistent effort to deal with a lethal pandemic that’s killed hundreds of thousands. This isn’t a case of political instincts. It’s stupidity. They shouldn’t have misused that quote and when Fauci spoke up they should have kept their own stupid mouths shut. But Trump can’t do that. He’s pathologically unable to.
It’s fantastic, a free gift from the Republicans, to be putting health care front and center by putting Barrett forward so close to the election. Likewise using and attacking Fauci, another means of making healthcare a centerpiece of their campaign. Saying the virus, and, by implication, healthcare, is going swimmingly, doesn’t exactly comport with the facts that people see every day.
And thanks for keeping this in the news for a second day, dumbass.
Combined with General Milley and others, it would seem there’s a pattern of your using people and twisting their words out of context without their consent to try to prop up your losing campaign. And that they’re publicly rebuking and distancing themselves from you only makes things better, doesn’t it? Time to attack Milley, too.
And don’t get me started on the music you use without permission.
I guess he hasn’t heard about Milley’s statement about not having been consulted.
OTOH, his inability to ignore any criticism is an opportunity. If everyone who has ever worked with him and escaped could announce a criticism, he would have to respond to each and every one (except for the ones he designates to DJTJ). Presidential whack-a-mole, which would also demean him even more in they eyes of the thinking electorate (if that is even possible).
or Milley… is there a pattern developing. The answer, no just repeating the no attribution, no permission process adopted when it comes to campaign music. The response is, so sue me.
