On RICO charges, you want to get away from your co-conspirators? Pound sand you tiny handed vulgarian turd!

I think Donnie will probably get this request; although, that doesn’t mean he’ll be saved from a trial before the election or get a trial date in 2026, like he’s requested elsewhere.

Might this actually provide the possibility of one of the October defendants seeing a guilty verdict probable offering to testify against the fat guy?

Amendment 6
“In all criminal prosecutions the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial…”

The Judge should absolutely give Trump another 2 months to prepare.

I’d like Fani Willis to Trump the legal version of “Suck it up, Buttrcup”. (Since no one will actually use those words in court).

I know nothing of his legal recourse here…my thought is, why would any judge be inclined to help this orange face paint spackled a-hole at all?

So…supposedly innocent guy about whom hundreds (maybe thousands) of lawyers, elected officials, election workers, etc. spread around the country in numerous jurisdictions and offices over a period of years have completely made up all the “evidence” against him…fights like hell to delay EVERY legal procedure instead of being eager to go to court to expose the fraudulent evidence and be cleared of the charges.

Trump, who has spent most of his life delaying various legal actions brought against him…

Shots fired.

Of course, TFG’s been detached from reality for, checks watch, forever now. So the severance procedure is purely ornamental at this point.

I hope the judge sees it that way too.

Yes. I thought Fani Willis was being quite clever in asking judge to approve speedy trial for all 19 defendants, except for those opting out.

As I understand it, Trump had 30 days to seek to sever his trial from the other 18. You know he would have waited until the 11th hour of day 30 day to seek severance. She forced his hand. He had to speak up now or go on trial in two months.

Then December 23rd it is!

Not a bad gambit. Let everybody else throw crap and then look like the whole thing is useless by the time you get there.

There’s nothing really unusual here. Two of Trump’s co-defendants have made the risky choice to demand a speedy trial. He doesn’t want to jump off that cliff with them, and the court won’t make him.

Just how risky that is was driven home by the DA’s motion, filed yesterday, requesting that the judge advise the defendants of the rights they are giving up. It’s a good read.

(You could view that motion various ways. For example, is the DA is trying to talk them out of it? Or is the DA making sure she has a good record on appeal if they complain later? Or both?)

Donnie’s probably the most widely and successfully conspired against man in history.
And, also, seemingly one of the most despised, given the unwillingness of any of the plotters to spill the beans on the conspiracy.

It’s a conspiracy case, RICO,
involving many conspirators. so
inherently wrong to cleave any
away from the main seditious body of co conspirators.
All must be tried together and quickly.

I know there are some timing rules regarding trials down in Georgia, but since Judge Chutkan moved TFG’s trial from January to March, I suggest that DA Willis start TFG’s trial on January 2.
