As much as President-Elect Biden wants to put all this aside for the sake of unity and peaceful transitions of power, some things such as this cannot be left unpunished. Many in this administration should be tried for crimes against the American people when it is all said and done.

This is a revealing bit of RW logic: rather than spending the time and money for the government to find a cure, we should just let some people die at no cost or effort to ourselves. And, of course, these conscientious servants of the American people didn’t even do the minimum homework necessary to discover the actual extent or effects of the disease.
If any regular civil service employee were that sloppy in implementing a major initiative on a life-or-death issue, they wouldn’t last five minutes.

It’s not quite as bad as suggesting a “herd immunity” approach to polio. Sure, 20% of survivors* will be crippled for life, but at least the vulnerable will eventually, probably, be protected.
