Trump-Appointed Judge In Portland Case: Admin ‘Risks Blurring The Line Between Civil and Military Federal Power’

We early voted during Covid, but usually I’m at the site on election day.

Maybe the difference is “in person” vs “by mail”, but we hand the nice lady our ID and repeat our name and address while she looks us up, marks us off, and hands out the ballots. Don’t have to sign anything.

Being a blue state, we can ask for as many ballots as we can carry  : - )

TMF is a physical coward and a weakling. He can’t even fire someone face-to-face.

But the National Guard is wonderful for him, he thinks he can just say shit and they’ll do it.

What a pathetic excuse for a man.

He’s sounding more and more like a castrato.

Well written judgment that will be streamrolled 6-3 by the Subprime Court.

I’m sure the judge will be deemed to be antifa and RINO doxxed and knee deep in death threats by now.

Same here in Virginia, where I did just as you did.

No ID, just state name and address and they look you up in the big book you sign. Then you had to sign another blue slip and give it to the dude that let’s you into the voting booth.

Never figured out what that was about but whatever. Follow the procedure and STFU :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Gov. Newsom has sued the Trump Admin. for unlawfully sending 300 CA National Guard troops to OR for no good reason. It just never ends.

I continue to hope that the SCOTUS will soon rule that these National Guard deployments for suspect or blatantly illegal reasons are out of bounds and should not happen again in Portland, Chicago or anywhere else. Someone needs to tell Trump ”NO”.

Pedo’s deployment of Special Forces, Marines, Space Force, and the Army in America’s cities raises numerous red flags. I have a feeling there will be a conservative military base in every major American city with a significant minority or Democratic presence in the next few years to bolster national security and to educate people on who to vote for. I sincerely hope that the American military continues the practice of engaging in a foreign war with a Mickey Mouse or oil-rich country every 3-5 years to dispose old weapons and test new weapons systems. Doing the same things here at home would be a terrible idea.

Having them in our cities is a terrible idea.

What the hell is “verbal contact”? Is that supposed to mean you can’t talk to them? Freedom of speech just ain’t what it used to be, is it?

“Freedom of speech” doesn’t apply to officers on duty, methinks.

They may have restrictions on THEIR speech as a condition of their employment, but the whole point of the 1a is that the government doesn’t get to punish ordinary citizens for what they say.

Right, and the quote was Portland cops explaining that their instructions were to stay away from ICE and not talk to them.

Which, of course, is exactly what “coordinating with local authorities” looks like, right…?

The opposite of “listening intrusion”? : - )

It sounds like they’re trying to ban debate. I mean, deportation for anything “not consistent with the president’s agenda” …? That includes just about everything everyone else thinks, does and wants.

In this case, I think the poor dears are just a little rattled by noise. It’s funny. My father and other Antifa fighters in WWII went through similar stress, except in a foreign country, of course. No English. Oh, and the shrapnel.

Have you seen Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s recent tweets? She’s repeatedly tweeted that she believes she is in great danger as well for speaking truth to power.

“Defendants have made a range of arguments that, if accepted, risk blurring the line between civil and military federal power — to the detriment of this nation,” she wrote.

To which the Trump lawyers said “well duh, that is exactly what we intend.”

Read that to mean local law enforcement is not to assist or interfere with ICE, even ‘verbally’ (the correct term is orally, but whatever; verbally can be written or oral).
