Well, small clumps of them will occasionally also come up to some Black guy inoccently smoking a cigarette on his own front porch of an evening and harass him about it. They did that here, and Memphis has a significant Black population as well…
Some videos were caught of that and, to their credit, most of the harassers looked a little sheepish when the homeowner would note that, no, cmoking a cigarette outside your own house is not illegal in DC and for a lot of the non-smokers that share houses with smokers it’s pretty much the preferred option.

Yes, but the Senate and House can turn up the volume. Trump is of course a pathological liar but I’d like to hear a U.S. senator, or a governor, stand up and say it out loud. And again the next day. They can force the Media to cover it. Newsome did it by trolling Trump and it got great coverage. It may be just a yelling match some may say but w/o pushback you lose. And he can be so easily exposed.

Something to keep in mind! The more over the top, the more insane the rhetoric from the trumped-up Republican side, the more insecure they are feeling.
Look at the results of special elections since the election of First Felon. Trending heavily “Democrat.” Solid “R” seats turning blue. Of course, voter registration as a Democrat is down – yet people are trending to vote that way.
I know it’s fashionable – and easy! – to despair. But don’t! The signs are positive; light is creeping over that horizen. Find campaigns and candidates you can support, and do so. Register voters, if it’s still legal in your state.

I don’t believe they can. Public companies are so intertwined that they cam be shut off at fundamental levels. You always see a Dem with a blue background and bad lighting in video interviews.
I think it might be closer to the truth to imagine the media only ever existed to push the opinions of a few into the direction of the masses.
