Pence is still hanging on to the hope he will be Trump’s running mate again in 2024.
Nothing strange about that.
When people realized they could sell you stuff for it.
Pence is well known to be a Mother’s boy. He cannot even open his mouth unless she pulls his string.
What poisonous little toads. The two of them and their sick ‘followers’.
That’s going to be hard since Eddie Van Halen is dead.
I’m guessing people got the idea from some ridiculous reality TV show. I could be wrong but I doubt it.
You think? God. A glutton for punishment. I’m much more fussy about the people I work with. If they try to kill me that’s it.
No, it really isn’t. Trump said awful things about Cruz’s family, but he didn’t send a murderous mob after them. He tried to have Pence murdered and by extension he was fine with whatever happened to Pence’s family in the melee. That Pence continues to play nice with him after ALL that is a whole new level of cowardice that I’ve actually never seen before. It would even be one thing if only his life was put at risk, but his family’s lives were too. For 99.99% of people that’s the end of the road. Even Henry Hill turned on his bosses when they threatened his family. Not Mike Pence.
This is a weird article all the way around. For me, it only raises questions.

I guess if Pence is going to be involved in governors’ races, he needs to at least make the right noises where Trump is concerned (if Trump is indeed the GOP’s “kingmaker”). But Pence will have an adventurous needle to thread with Trump regarding that friendship with Ducey–the guy who literally hung up on Trump while he (Ducey) was signing the certification of Arizona’s election. (It goes without saying that Pence will never get even within smelling distance of a nomination for president, so I guess all this is what will pass for his keeping in the game.)

Brad Parscale??? Has he genuflected before Trump enough to get back in his good graces? I guess Steve Bannon provided these people a roadmap for how to do it . . .
-
The biggest question of all, which @pluckyinky raises above: Is Pence’s self-respect even measurable by this point?
‘Mike Pence was a strange bedfellow long before he entered politics’. -Mother
If he’s still hanging onto that hope after the man tried to off him I find that almost as strange as it is stupid.
- Was it ever?
“A source familiar with the former president and vice president’s relationship described ties between the two men to CNN as “amicable.”“
Pence added: “yeah, Trump tried to have me murdered, but it’s no big deal.”
When 2 of my favorites aren’t sure if I’m snarking I’ve approached the magic line.
I was telling Miss Kitty the other day Ted Cruz should have walked up to Trump on a debate stage and cold-cocked him for his remarks about his wife and father. And told the press that’s why he did it. He’d have earned a whole lot of respect by many, and might have evened the playing field for the 2016 nomination. Cowering to bullies seldom ends well for the coward.
Either that or Pence is a really weird guy.
Yep…or at the very least to not rule it out, so that he gets “begged” to run.
Pence will keep his head down until Trump is “done.” The wildcard is Trump’s VP pick if Trump actually gets re-elected. Pence may not be able to compete with him/her.
Yeah–you got me there.
New reporting on 1/6:
I seem to recall an official statement to that effect on 1/6; it may have been here on TPM or elsewhere, but either the report accompanying the statement or a commenter noted that Trump’s name was conspicuous in its absence.
At any rate, these would seem legitimate questions to ask: Why wasn’t he included in the call? Just who was in charge that day? Who was it who compelled him to finally make those lame-ass videos regarding what happened?
