Trump And Don Jr. Hire ‘Big Lie’ Lawyer To Defend Them In Swalwell Suit | Talking Points Memo

A lot of interesting comments on Trump post presidency. Funniest to me is that he’s no longer painted orange!

Hah! Before reading the rest of your comment, I first thought that you were referring to Kimberly Guilfoyle!

But aren’t articles about his legal defense also about making him go away?

What are you proposing?

How?

Just like other radio and TV entertainers, they were better at what their doing than the local theater company, and people turned their attention and money to them. Local priests and pastors weren’t all that better, see Elmer Gantry.

Not wrong, but it also bears repeating that George Will represents a dumb person’s idea of a smart man.

Prisoners in the Supermax don’t get to mingle with the general prison population because they’re all locked up all the time. I think they deserve to be somewhere they can make new friends in the yard. Besides, that will give DJTJR a place to lift weights.

OT. A black guy walks with all kinds of guns into a Supermarket. Lets see if that convinces you know who that we need gun control.

As a general proposition, any lawyer willing to represent Trump nowadays about the Big Lie is likely completely incompetent.

While we are on the topic of lardasses afilliated with the disgraced, one-term, twice impeached lardass-in-chief, here’s looking at comeuppance for this slimy operator (and also for the company that continues to support him:

Mostly against, citing “research.” Also much chatter about aborted fetal cells.

“No, the COVID-19 vaccines do not contain any aborted fetal cells. However, Pfizer and Moderna did perform confirmation tests (to ensure the vaccines work) using fetal cell lines. And Johnson & Johnson uses fetal cell lines in vaccine development, confirmation and production. But it’s important to have the full context: Fetal cell lines are not the same as fetal tissue. Fetal cell lines are cells that grow in a laboratory. They descend from cells taken from elective abortions in the 1970s and 1980s. Those individual cells from the 1970s and 1980s have since multiplied into many new cells over the past four or five decades, creating fetal cell lines. Current fetal cell lines are thousands of generations removed from the original fetal tissue. They do not contain any tissue from a fetus.”

Also, much chest-beating about only putting natural substances in their bodies, like they’re all raw-food vegans who never ate a Cool Ranch Dorito with their Cokes. Sigh. These threads affirm my commitment to atheism.

… in order to, among other things, avoid paying child support.

Reprehensible, of course.

But one should note that “DC-based Teneo” is a largely Democratic firm. It plays “secret” and “non-secret” footsie with Republicans like Miller so as to have access to their Republican employers and Republican colleagues.

Elmer Gantry might well be an interesting juxtaposition to Gilead (which I have not yet read, but it’s now on my list). I’m not sure what Robinson did in her backgrounding for Gilead, but Lewis spent a substantial amount of time in Kansas City hanging with the god botherers there in developing background for his novel.

So many books, so little time…

California has some of the strictest firearms control laws in the country. They were enacted when Saint Ronald of Raygun was Governator of the state.

How did that happen, you ask?

The Black Panthers started openly carrying long arms around Sacramento.

Of course, the CHP and the Sacramento PD of the 1960s were not the paramilitary forces of today.

Otherwise, I’d think about suggesting to my BLM friends that they should start carrying long arms openly pour encourager les autres. In today’s environment, that would be asking them to commit suicide by cop.
