Trump Again Promises Greater Retribution Against Dem-Led US Cities on Global Stage

Originally published at: Trump Again Promises Greater Retribution Against Dem-Led US Cities on Global Stage

President Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops to U.S. cities that are led by elected Democrats, under the guise of a crackdown on crime and immigration, has been nothing short of an extremely transparent effort to flex power over his political enemies — both to get revenge on the local Democratic leaders who oppose him…

What am I most pissed off about today? Hard to know, and that’s the regime strategy at work.

God damn it. Now Kennedy is looking into fish health? In addition to the fact that HHS doesn’t seem to cover fish, it’s just stupid. When the amount of mental degradation in this administration comes out later it is going to be stunning (to some at least).

It does in two ways. One is the zebrafish model, which is used to study genetic conditions, environmental effects, and interactions between the two. The second is to study the effects of environmental pollutants on fish in the wild. The killifish is one such model.

I have no idea what Kennedy is proposing, but will check.

“research about wind farms’ impact on fishing businesses”

ok, I got there. This makes no sense.

The “starve Democrats into submission” plan is original. Will it work?

This is your TPM evening briefing
… … … …
Asking for a fight eh? Lets us remember who is starting this.

We must remember that we have to hold everyone criminal responsible now, because Trump is going to pardon every ICE agent at the end of his term. Bovino needs to be held accountable today, now, and not in some hypothetical future where the rule of law applies.

The fight is now or never.

I had to cash out just a little money from my retirement account today, which was not a problem for my advisor, but he wasn’t sure exactly which accounts he wanted to cash in.

I asked him if I had any investment in AI. Given that some reports indicate we are on a bubble along with the water issues for the AI ‘plants’ that are planned throughout the country, I suggested that I would be fine taking the funds from the companies I’m invested in that are cashing in on this AI bubble. He told me that that sector is doing the best right now and I agreed, but also re-stated that the sector is on a bubble, which he didn’t deny.

So that’s where the funds will come from. We have our semi-annual investment discussion in a few weeks. We’ll go into more of it then.

Let’s you and him fight, right?

I thought maybe he’d already started sending more than the National Guard in. I heard a succession of very loud jet-type noises right overhead ezrlier today, which you don’t generally expect to hear smack in the middle of DC…Maybe they were practicing something…

The term for this investment strategy, that is knowing that most people will lose money but hoping that you are the exception, is gambling.

Starving kids. There will be riots.

Interestingly, I’ve been right before about similar strategic decisions. I’m not cashing out all that much, but we’ll see where we are mid-month.

I think you’re 100% right. The amount of circular investment going on in the AI sector is insane. I can’t even keep track of it, but virtually every single company is invested in open AI and open AI is invested in virtually every single company the the top tech firms club, which include Microsoft, Nvidia, Google, Apple, AMD, and open AI. It’s frankly an absolute antitrust nightmare. It’s accounting fraud. This is inflating the balance sheets by orders of magnitude for all of the companies involved. It is insane. It is illegal. It is all going to come crashing down, unless somehow open AI takes over the world.

It’s making a lot of money now, but if you invest in any of these companies, you are investing based on imaginary numbers. They are using open AI, which is losing billions, to hide all of this.

Maybe the crash isn’t this month, or this year, but it’s coming.

My fight would be feeding needy seniors
The outfit I volunteer with (being disabled i do phone and book keeping) covers a lot of Tucson. The outfit divided the city into “neighborhoods”. Our neighborhood looks after around 135 clients. My part is 24 of those. I call each one to ask if they need the bag of fruits & veggies. This happens twice a month. I do it for the grateful “thank you” I hear. I am not paid for this work. I suspect donald would demand payment if he were involved. It’s rewarding to feed those in need. And this past Saturday when I did my calls I heard a lot of anger at SNAP being unfunded as of this Saturday. Folks are pissed and half are republicans on the list I call.

“We’re not going to have people killed in our cities”

So, distribute more guns. Isn’t that the Republican solution?

Oh no, wait. That’s right. Republicans now believe a huge and supremely powerful federal government is the solution.

Probably not because more red-state people will be hurt.

Paul Krugman’s been writing about this bubble bursting a lot. A LOT.
