Michael Pillsbury, President Donald Trump’s informal adviser on China, can’t seem to decide whether China gave him dirt on 2020 candidate Joe Biden’s son or not.

On Thursday morning, Pillsbury was back to claiming he hadn’t gotten any information from the Chinese and bizarrely asserted he hadn’t given an interview to the Financial Times, even though the reporter has screenshots of their exchange.
Our legal strategy: full-blown dementia.
They open their mouths and the lies just spew forth.
This feels like a hit-and-run sideswipe smear to me.
You’d figure that they would stop digging after the first hole in Ukraine blew up in their faces, but I guess they figure that they can still manage to change the story if only they can get someone in the world to make up a fake investigation of Biden’s corruption. Heck, they probably figure they can use that to cancel the impeachment investigation, and then start rolling over Warren next.
The sad thing is that this is along the lines of what happened to Clinton, and at least part of the nation will go along with them no matter what fictions they come up with.

So, basically this entire foreign dirt enterprise consists of getting someone, actually anyone from any other country to agree to lie and say that Trump’s unfounded, baseless conspiracy bullshit is true and being investigated.
This is like Karl Rove’s “We make our own reality” mantra on steroids. Too bad your 2020 re-election stratergy is going get Trump impeached and a bunch of you thrown in jail.

Referring to Wikipedia, it looks like Pillsbury has had a pretty lengthy career from being on the staffs of 4 Senate committees during the Carter administration, to serving in the Reagan and H.W. Bush administrations, in the Defense Department and on and on. Not sure all his ideas and decisions have been correct over all that time, but one thing is for sure …
