President Donald Trump has ordered the Minnesota-based mega mask producer 3M to prioritize domestic orders, and to stop exporting masks to Canada and Latin America as the coronavirus pandemic sweeps the globe.
We all know how this story ends: It will turn out that Trump and Kushner are seizing all these masks for their personal profit and political gain, but the Republicans won’t do anything. All the more reason for Pelosi to keep the pressure on, every day.
That’s the funny thing about global supply chains… Might be an american company, but when the product is manufactured in China, you just don’t have the same leverage.
Didn’t his very very talented SIL Kushner (with NO experience and failed Middle East Peace plan) took over the Covid Pandemic Response to take care of the supply chain since he said know more now about the Covid modeling use for forecasting?
Seems like Jared knows more about profiting during a pandemic than managing it!
I suspect, in the long run, there’s going to be gnashing of teeth and rending of garments amongst those Drumpf donors who are dependent on overseas labor and supplies to keep their profit margins high: I can’t see all the countries he’s giving the shaft turning a beneficent eye towards the needs of American companies later.
And it’s all for Donnie’s domestic political benefit: “He’s not interested in Ukraine, all he cares about are the big things.”
Wow, let the grifting really begin… No need to declare bankruptcy, yet again, when you treat the US Treasury as your piggish bak,
That economic strain has pushed Trump Organization officials to inquire about possible relief, at least temporarily, from the company’s financial obligations at one of its properties.
All those who have been fired , resigned or left for whatever reason and continue to keep their mouths shut are as guilty as Trump for the condition our country is in.
If they come together and speak the truth, Trump is done.
If not I have to believe you are somehow profiting from Trump staying in power.
Hmm Mexico and Canada not happy, didn’t we just sign a renegotiated trade deal with them? Well this escalate into a tit for tat war?
Side note I reading a story about how St. Louis County were citing non-essential businesses. There were a couple of fabric stores, and one restaurant in my town. Now that the CDC is recommending masks I wonder if Joanne’s Fabrics will appeal? And as for the restaurant I bet they were cited for having some sit outside on their patio.
It fits the picture: we already Donnie is burning through the nattion’s limited supply of Covid tests to insure that he doesn’t come in contact with a carrier. So he can avoid wearing a mask.
One rule for me, another for thee: never so blatant.
OT:
Meanwhile, the so-called pres continues to lie about the availability of tests.
A young woman I know in Los Angeles has been working in a risky area - a women’s homeless shelter. Now she has fever and all the symptoms. Also the extra risk of lacking a kidney. But her doctor says that her insurance - Blue something - will not pay for a test. Not that it would help much at this point; she would still be shivering alone in her small room.
