It’s been a lock step party with its own internal system of rewards and punishments for a while now. Like, no cooperation = no future lobbying.
I don’t know that it’s necessary to look for kompromat in an organization that’s structured to reward compliance and punish independence.
ETA: The interests that they serve, though, do leave a lot to be desired.

It may be nothing more than wanting to remain welcome at his country club back in Louisiana. Republicans don’t just fall in line. They are pack animals. Democrats, of course, do not behave that way, making them susceptible to lazy news stories about their being in disarray.
Molly Jong-Fast, appearing yesterday on Ari Melber’s MS NOW show, noted all the headlines and news stories about Tuesday’s “upset” victories of “moderate” Dems over progressives (like Crowley’s in WI), and about progressive and moderate Dems being at one another’s throats – despite the public and sincere displays of unity among Dems (like Hong’s immediate, full-throated endorsement of Crowley).. As Jong-Fast shrewdly observed, these news stories amount to “a narrative in search of facts.”
Lazy journalism, at best. At worst, blatantly biased journalism.
