President Donald Trump’s administration is extracting $155 million from FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund to pay for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency’s operational facilities, NBC News first reported Tuesday.

The DHS will also give ICE $116 million from funds meant for Coast Guard operations and aviation security, according to NBC News.

I’m relieved to know we won’t have any hurricanes this year or need to use the Coast Guard to secure the borders.

It’s not like the glaciers are melting or there’s no hurricanes in the horizons that Trump would just nuke…this is also MISAPPROPRIATION of Funds and Power Grab!

I am looking forward to having a president who on day one tells the DOJ to file suit, and open a criminal investigation against every single person in the Trump Administration who misappropriated funds under the Anti-deficency Act. They are personally responsible if they spend money without congressional authorization, and should be left bankrupt after the Feds are done with them. Take every single penny they have.

When will Trump erect bleachers in front of detention centers and blue states that have disasters so he and his follower’s can holiday in front of those who are suffering .

an all time record of its kind for “anywhere.”

The tone is weird. The quotation marks are creepy. Why the fuck is he so hostile to Puerto Rico?

Great news, just in time for hurricane and fire season. And, you can just tell he’s thinking I’m not giving one damn cent to Puerto Rico this time, they don’t deserve it.

At the same time, why is there no pushback from the House, which appropriates the funds? What happened to checks and balances, as written in the Constitution? Is this like the other parts of the Constitution that the Right has no time for? Or parts of the Bible that allow them to separate and incarcerate children out of the sight of their parents?

Yeah, I agree with you, but why is this allowed to happen - the re-appropriation of funds - without any kind of pushback? Can’t this go to court to force POTUS to explain his reasoning as to how this is an emergency?

Otherwise, the House shouldn’t waste its time developing a budget, because this cretin will just ignore it and spend ‘his’ money however he wishes without interference.

Dorian says Hi!!!

I don’t understand it either. The WH can just decide to move money around without consulting other branches of govt.
And, look what he’s going to use it for.

It’s the brown.

I understand they can under some emergency funding applications, but this doesn’t remotely qualify and I’d like to hear him explain how it does.

“growing disconnect”

I suppose that’s one way of saying “unfettered lawlessness.”

Heckuva job, Donnie! P.S. Happy hurricane season! At this rate, you may turn Florida and Texas blue.

When I and my wife and kids are on the roof after the hurricane, and the Coast Guard helicopters are running late, it will be a comfort to know that more brown people can be locked up.

I’m looking forward to a president who doesn’t do that because she knows the DOJ isn’t supposed to just be her office full of lawyers.

Puerto Rico is about to become a wasteland and far more people will die than in Katrina, followed by shocking homelessness and rampant disease, etc.

Just watch. In fact, that’s precisely why this is happening and the result that Trump and the GOP want. How dare PR and its governor and/or mayor criticize the god-king? How fucking DARE they.

And Miami? The GOP would love nothing more than for Miami to be reduced to rubble and Broward and Dade County’s liberal populations punished for resisting the god-king and their rightful whiteful rule. Heck, if they can kill enough and force enough to move out of the state, then phew…maybe they’ve bought themselves some elections with Florida remaining red, right?

“Yet another big storm heading to Puerto Rico. Will it ever end?” Trump tweeted. “Congress approved 92 Billion Dollars for Puerto Rico last year, an all time record of its kind for ‘anywhere.’”

You’d think God would listen to the Chosen One and stop sending hurricanes to Puerto Rico.

Alternatively, perhaps the World’s Greatest Negotiator can throw Puerto Rico in on the offer to buy Greenland from Denmark. Sweeten the pot a little (as great and sly negotiators are wont to say). I think Article 2 of the Constitution specifically says he can do this.

From The Chosen One’s fingers to God’s ear.

That is the question.

God, if you are listening, give me a sign! and SMITE the motherfucker!
