With the parade of dates for when the Trump administration anticipates seeing a COVID-19 vaccine (October 2020, November 2020, or by the end of this year, or by January 2021, or later in 2021), you can be forgiven for experiencing some confusion.
Why does this sounds like the phrase “very soon“ who cannot make up its mind how soon?
And is this another “drive thru testing everywhere” thing?
Or should the take away be: Just another manic infrastructure week?
All told, this reeks of trumpian desperation in gargantuan proportions!
In addition to Dr. Fauci who is concern about vaccine safety and efficacy, this is what another medical expert has to say:
Dr Angela Rasmussen, a virologist at New York’s Columbia University, said: “We absolutely cannot tolerate or accept an emergency authorization for any Covid-19 vaccine without reliable safety and efficacy data from phase three clinical trials”.
I believe the medical experts, not Mendacious Trump!
All that, though, falls short of what President Trump wants.
Not at all. The President is clearly stating that what he wants is to see even more dead Americans. If they’re dead, they can’t vote, unless they’re in Chicago.
Sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the trump Administration started to distribute a “vaccine” just a few days before the election.
Although I’m a pro-vaxxer, there is no way I’d accept a vaccine rushed into distribution by trump and company without a full set of Stage III trials.
Taking a vaccine before it has been thoroughly tested among the general population after release or voting for Donald J. Trump are two things that would be hazardous to your health. You don’t take the word of a pathological liar, self-admitted felon and guy who suggested that you shoot up with disinfectants.
To achieve that mission according to the stated timeline, development would have had to have begun in November 2019 — when the first case was confirmed, after the virus made the zoonotic leap from bat to man.
Correction: The first case “was confirmed” in December. They subsequently traced the virus back to a person or two who had it in November.
Pretty much. Looks like smoke-and-mirrors, they’ll announce an EUA sometime mid-October, just in time for the election, with all deliveries starting sometime in November, post-election.
And then those deliveries will get held up due to inconclusive results.
Besides waiting at least three months after release among the general public just to see if it works for everyone without creating major side effects for some and knowing if you are the some.
