Apparently President Donald Trump’s impetus for tackling homelessness is improving the quality of living standards for non-homeless people.
Always with the problems Bloatus, you got any workable solutions?
Didn’t think so.
Don’t wear out your thumbs.
My standard of living is fine - knock it the fuck off. Abusing the homeless isn’t going to improve my quality of life it will make it worse.
And the police don’t work for the federal government.
I’ve heard something about a “final solution” that the Trump administration might want to consider. It’s guaranteed to remove the problem once and for all…
On a more serious note, WTF is wrong with these people? And why on earth do they think that there is a federal role to play here? So far, their only “solutions” aren’t. And where they could offer some real benefit, e.g. in increased access to mental health and addiction treatment, in subsidized housing, etc., they are conspicuously silent.
This is funny in a macabre way however I’m unable to give it a like.
Let’s all take a deep breath and remember that he’s only doing this to be able to blame some Democratic lawmakers for being weak.
Kinda makes the US president look like an asshole.
The suggestion is repeated near the end of the report, which says that so-called the “tolerability” of sleeping on the streets “may be affected through policing of street activities.”

He doesn’t give a single damn about homelessness and he cares even less about homeless people. He cares only about using this issue to trash Democratic governance. He uses issues of concern in order to fearmonger voters into supporting Republicans by painting Democratic cities as urban hellscapes. By the end of the campaign, he’ll be warning voters about blacks and browns moving into their neighborhoods and driving property values down.
Since this homelessness issue and the EPA’s revocation of the waiver of for emissions standards are basically, gratuitous harassment of California by the Federal Government. I would encourage California to secede, what they produce is heavily export oriented they can do well without the rest of the US. And they would not have to be subsidizing the red state parasites like Alabama and Mississippi. They can rent the San Diego Navy base to the Chinese. As someone born in CA, I will gladly move back and live in one of those homeless camps.
Obviously the reason so many people are homeless is that homelessness is so pleasant.
Same welfare queen shit, different day.
Seems there’s just a bit of a mixup here.
Using the police?
Having law enforcement crack down?
Policing of street activities?
This must be a report about possible solutions to the gun violence epidemic. I’m sure of it. It has to be.
Meanwhile, we’re always hearing Republicans talking about “thoughts and prayers” and “better access to mental health treatment.” Obviously, while those came up in discussions of gun violence, they must have been talking about one of the many solutions to the homelessness issue. It only makes sense.
Surely, there’s been a mixup somewhere. Get these straightened out, and we’ll be getting somewhere.
How long before he starts with “Build the workhouses! Build the workhouses!”
Don’t know why Don the Con is even worried about it. They’re all going to die of the carbon monoxide fumes anyway, so problem solved.
And, for some shameless proclamation that he solved homelessness that only this textbook narcissist could utter without any qualms, whatsoever.
To our Beloved Bloat, any issue is better than having to actually work at the job he is being paid for. Shutting down North Korea’s nukes? Pfft! Economy in trouble? Nah. Gun control issues? Come on!
It’s always easier for a lazy man to point to something he can have no effect on and say, “Look at this. Isn’t it awful?”
Republicans are the laziest group of people on the planet.
Isn’t “the prestige” part of a magic trick? This is what Donny is proposing here. Disappear the homeless. If you can’t see them, they don’t exist.
the Trump administration is also considering moving homeless people into government facilities.
The goal here is normalizing the rounding up of people into camps on phony pretexts. But don’t worry, it won’t happen to you. Just to street people, asylum seekers, the brown-skinned who left their residency papers at home, gypsies, certain undesireable religions, those with unpaid parking tickets, etc. But not you, so don’t worry.
It would probably be too much to hope that someone would point out the connection between these two things driven by the increase in real estate prices;
----During a trip to California Tuesday, Trump told reporters that homelessness is ruining cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco for people who moved to those locations “because of the prestige.”
“And all of a sudden [the cities] have tents,” Trump said. “Hundreds and hundreds of tents and people living at the entrance to their office building. And they want to leave.”----
Trump is just looking out for those wealthy real estate investors who come to this country to buy property and live in a prestigious city. Homeless people give them a sad.
As he arrived here, Trump claimed that he had personally heard complaints from tenants in the state, some of them foreigners. He expressed sympathy for real estate investors here and other Californians whose property values or quality of life are threatened.
“In many cases, they came from other countries and they moved to Los Angeles or they moved to San Francisco because of the prestige of the city, and all of a sudden they have tents,” Trump said. “Hundreds and hundreds of tents and people living at the entrance to their office building. And they want to leave.”
In Los Angeles and San Francisco, Trump said, people are living on the “best highways, our best streets, our best entrances to buildings . . . where people in those buildings pay tremendous taxes, where they went to those locations because of the prestige.”
His solution, of course, is to lock them up and get them out of sight. Fucking asshole.
