In it, the CDC reportedly lays out detailed recommendations on safely reopening churches, schools, restaurants and other establishments that hold many people at once.

Trump will come up with is own plan! Stay tuned! It’ll be the greatest plan ever! He’ll tweet it! Bigly.

Yeah, who wants a detailed plan? You know, there are businesses where the owner knows every single person that works for them and exactly what is happening with their business. And they have detailed plans for stuff like this.

Trump knows nobody that works for him, as he has told us over and over, but this huge nation with 350 million people, we don’t need no stinkin plans!

We can see where this is headed. The “experts” keep contradicting Dear Leader and they must be silenced. In the middle of a deadly pandemic. And they will do their level best to keep the resulting deaths a secret, too.
Senate republicans own every bit of this.

Just more of those pesky know-something experts trying to fool the people with logic and science-backed information.
Trump’s continued reliance on his “really good brain” is no longer amusing; it’s outright delusional.

in an hour or so the number of deaths will break through to 75,000 … on Mother’s Day it will hit 80,000
Trump is angry at the numbers … calling them “fake” … just like the deaths at Sandy Hook … and every other tragedy.
assume … that in the next two weeks Trump will have coerced all of the big number red states to flat out stop counting (or at least stop reporting)

Can’t have things out there that say we’re not ready to open back up.

It’s beyond insane. He’s willing to kill everyone for his ego.

All because he thinks the only way to get reelected is by having a good economy instead of actually fixing a deadly problem. And in reality his fix will kill not only more people but the economy too. And a Republican party that will stand by and let it all happen because they think acknowledging the guy their voters fell for is an idiot, even though not acknowledging it will make them look worse to a larger majority of Americans that didn’t vote or believe in him in the first fuckin’ place…JMFC!

  1. Trump Task Force Re-Opening America “plan”: push responsibility to the states, but say that they should re-open carefully, in accordance with Federal guidelines

  2. Don’t publish any detailed Federal guidelines

  3. ???

  4. So much winning

And yet he polls at ~43% in every battleground state. In a sane and logical country, he’d be at about ~15%. America is screwed, and seemingly completely broken.

Next Trump will block the reports on number of Covid cases and deaths.

I’m hearing from my clinical colleagues that the Trump administration is fucking up remdesivir distribution. It’s not at all clear that the hospitals that need the drug for patients will get the drug.

New CDC guidelines will be pushed out shortly recommending that the best way to fight Covid-19 is to not social distance, and definitely not stay at home.

Oh, I figured something along those lines. They haven’t increased testing nearly enough for just that reason. Fewer tests, fewer cases.

It’s Bullshit like this that is convincing fox watchers, like unfortunately my parents, that “things really seem to be getting back to normal.” This is what scares me the most.
